Such an assortment of delicacies that ought to be frozen in time for their masterpieces! I like this cafe - am very fond of the French theme. It is a bit pricey so take care to really enjoy what you're buying.

Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie - that's a mouthful. But hey if your eyes need some 'luvven' give them a feast at the cake display. Boy Howdy now there's something to Tweet about. Coffee, not so much a tweet as a high pitched ''chiirrrp' like the one made by a cricket when everything goes awkwardly silent. ............ not flash. A must if you would like a spot to take Mum, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, little sister for a luxurious treat. Accessibility is well thought out. Their 'bathrooms' deserve an award even if used so much in their short life the fittings are coming off. Locals want it all to themselves. Nooooooooo.

It's a basic service at Laurent: you select and pay at the counter. They do bring the food and drink to the table and are on the whole very polite people. All reasonably efficient.

There are amazingly decorative selections of cakes and other sweets in the display cabinet. Beautiful to look at. There is also a good selection of food that is appropriate for lunch. I would say that some of Laurent's lunches are a bit pricey, but the food is always very fresh and tasty. The last time I had pumpkin and zucchini tart which was very satisfying. The coffee is fab. Bottles of water and glasses are available free, which is always welcome.

Laurent is located in busy Whitehorse Road. While street parking would be tricky, there is plenty of parking behind the store.

LOVE LOVE the coffee and atmosphere.

I pop in from time to time for my coffee experience and a sweet temptation.

You will never be disappointed - a WONDERFUL experience of finer establishments that wont break the bank.

Not far from my work - so its a temptation that's hard to knock.

I have been there a few times and must day I love the coffee. The cakes are pretty nice but you wouldn't have them too often. A bit pricey and also you can feel the sweets slowly creeping up on your bottom.

Approximate cost: $6

These people set themselves up as upper crust providers of specialities - and yet they are completely baffled by the concept of 'vegetarian'. I continually specify what I require and they continually just reach for whatever's closest.

The coffee is great as well as the choice of food. Its not the cheapest but what they do have (that I have tried) is great. Go down for a morning fix of Pain du Cholotate and a coffee and maybe a roll. The service is always good but it can get busy.

The aspect about this cafe that i like is the quality of there coffee, it is very nice and full flavored coffee. The food is quite a bit more expensive then elsewhere, and while the bread is nice, the cakes could be a lot better.
