Fancy place for tea. We tried the lemon tart and the mister green tea. Lemon tart had a great balance between tartness and sugar levels. For the green tea, I could really taste the matcha in it, really amazing!

Their cakes are amazing! The cafe is good for quiet catch ups. Probably best to order cakes and enjoy at home. Seating is limited. Staff are friendly and helpful when choosing desserts

Loved the food although a little pricey but was well worth it. Am definitely ordering another lemon tart next time I'm in Melbourne, maybe even 2 :P But overall was really good. Would definitely recommend this place.

I have been here a couple of times and the deserts are amazing. Yes, it is quite pricey however it's a well savoured treat. I had some sort of Japanese green tea desert cake which was amazing! Having been to Japan and tried similar sweets I was impressed with the flavour and quality of the cake. Great coffee venue too.

Approximate cost: $11 for a desert

Truly sensational pieces of art, everything we saw and ordered were made to perfection and so well presented that we wanted to try them all. We enjoyed cool drinks with our cakes and tarts, everything was fresh and rich despite the small serves. The best lemon tart I have tried for a long time and the peanut jelly was awesome too! Will definitely go back for more of their wonderful range! What a gem on little collins st.

This place I went to because from the entertainment book I had a voucher for buy one get one free. So I thought hey, half the risk if it's not good!

Well, that was the theory. However I am very pleased to report that this place is on par with other favorites such as Lux Bite and Brunettis.

The ingredients appear to be second to none and the range of cakes available changes depending I guess on what the chef feels like doing?? Or maybe I just got there late (afternoon) and the really good stuff had gone??

Anyway, I purchased my two cakes, and found both to be of a very high quality and taste sensations. Who needs Adriano Zumbo in Sydney when we have Le Petit Gateau and Lux Bite??!! Well, perhaps that's a bit over rated because Zumbos is great too!!

The brownie and passionfruit cake was smooth and just the right hint of passion fruit and the lemon cake was also of the same caliber. Both done well and full of flavor - hard to get simple things right like a lemon tart but this must be one of the blueprints.

Overall, prices are moderate/high - around $9 - $10 a piece but given the quality and taste, a trip that your taste buds will enjoy!

Approximate cost: $10

Cakes to die for! Passionfruit brownie and peanut jelly slices need a special mention. A tiny place that is easy to miss. On the expensive side, but worth it's taste in gold :)

Approximate cost: $8.50

I have been wanting to come here for a long time after seeing this place advertised on Postcards and then following the head pâtissier on twitter and seeing his creations they looked to die for. So finally I got the chance.
I felt like a cool creamy, icy drink so i was thrilled to see they had frappes, granitas as stated on their written whiteboard type menu displayed on the wall when i asked them what flavours in the frappes and granitas they had they said they couldn't do it. I was quite upset at this as I was really looking forward to enjoying one of their (hopefully tasty drinks) I questioned her a few times as weather she could make it for me and she remained with her previous answer. Well i was kind of annoyed because how hard would it have been to simply wipe off those drinks off the menu whiteboard. So i didn't order any other drinks. My friend and I ordered one cake each and shared we had the brownie, passionfruit chocolate gateau which was lovely and a peanut raspberry jelly cake which was nice but very similar to the brownie gateau and my friend commented it was a bit dry.
Overall i enjoyed the desserts we had especially since we had a coupon and only had to pay for one.
The cakes look small in size but they are very rich so any bigger in size and you probably wouldn't be able to finish it.
they also sell whole cakes, chocolates, sandwhiches etc.
You can also see through to where they are preparing, baking, styling the cakes.

Perfect in every way. The brownie passionfruit cake is a must try with it's amazing texture. Service is good. Can get full as the place is small so be prepared to wait for somewhere to sit. They also have a special - cake and coffee for around $8.50 I believe after 3pm

Approximate cost: $10

Probably the best cake shop in Melbourne. All their cakes are absolutely amazing! I can't fault them on anything! If you allow plenty of time the guys are happy to accommodate for special orders as well. The macaroons are not as good as the cakes though. Highly recommended.

Approximate cost: $8
