The worst medical centre had a 2.30 appointment and it’s now 4.00 still waiting
My recent experiences with Leichardt Medical have been extremely positive. The staff are intelligent, friendly and very efficient. They bulk bill and nothing is ever an issue. On several occasions I was misdiagnosed by my local GP and the doctors at Leichardt were quick to rectify the issues.
Reception is awful. Unwilling to help, or look for an alternate medical centre.
What a great clinic. It's a multicultural testimony. All the staff and doctors are new Australians, lesbians and the most radical of all is a very young female doctor. Who would never have had such opportunity 20 years ago. It's very progressive and liberal. Not an anglo-celtic straight male on the premises. Consequently they are super Transgender friendly. So if you are transgender then I suggest you go there. It's the least conservative place I've ever witnessed.
I have had to edit this review. In the interest of full disclosure, the reason for this edit is an email from womo.com.au "If you require and assistance with editing your review, we suggest to write about your experience, NOT about the Doctors and their service, rather the centre as a whole"
I was also provided with the following information "Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency have strict guidelines regarding what is allowed to be posted online when referring to a service provided by a Health Practitioner. They prohibit content that describes any health diagnoses or treatments and allow only descriptors of non-clinical."
So basically, what we find on these websites in not a review of medical care or treatment, but rather a review of the locale which treatment takes place, and whether people are friendly.
Well, here's my (in)complete review. Place is clean and spacious, and over full with other clients.
The doctors are smiley, but rushed and their manner suffers due to this hurry.
Unfortunately, it is against AHPRA guidelines to allow online websites to offer specific information regarding your experiences of competency relating to doctors, treatments, or clinical procedures. So why are you here reading this? Go doctor shopping and find one you personally like.
This medical centre use to be my local centre and was always taking my children here, there is a long waiting time to see any doctor but doctors have always been fantastic and it is bulk bill, centre is always clean and friendly staff.
Love this medical centre great review
Lucky for me my doctor always tells me to come at a specific time so the most I ever wait is ten minutes. There is lots of parking available which is very convenient. I can see how some people have had a problem with reception, they're not the friendliest and can look quite annoyed. However the doctors are very professional and efficient.
Waited 2 hours only to see our doctor leave at his 3pm finish time. Enquired at reception and they advised I was called at 1:30pm. Even is this did happen, I would expect more than one follow up call in the next 90 minutes.
Very poor service.
Thankfully another doctor fit me in, but I was less than impressed with reception.
Great service, great doctors and efficient service. thorough insite into medical problem and great advice
