I purchased a jumper (with a metallic spot) and wore it a handful of times before laundering it as per ticketed care instructions. The metallic finish washed off and I was left with a jumper of dull sticky spots. I took it into the Leichhardt store only to be greeted with an argumentative [redacted personal identifier] who said it was the way I had washed it or my laundry powder. Reluctantly she said she would take it up with the owner. Days later she contacted me and said he was not accepting liability and would not offer a replacement or refund. I was threatened today that she would call securuty if I didn't leave the store. I have now lodged a complaint with dept of fair trading.

ZERO STARS for service. Last night (Thursday 11 January '17) Staff management and a friend of staff accused my daughter of having sex with her partner who was standing at the entry of the change room waiting for her to try a garment on (still fully clothed) in the Leichardht store. They were advised that there is a policy of no men in the change rooms (which is not displayed anywhere in the store) at the same time the neighbouring change room had another elder couple laughing and exchanging funny comments with each other, the store management and a friend of the staff. They advised my daughter and her partner to get out and leave the store immediately. My daughter came to find me in the supermarket pretty shaken up feeling harrassed and bullied. They explained what happened and I went into the store to find out what happened. I was appalled with the attitude and had expected an apology for accusing my daughter and partner of having sex in their change room, particularly appalled at the attitude of the friend of the store manager who had no right in speaking to them in that manner. Since when are stores prohibited from allowing partners into the change room. I am so angry and disgusted and will be taking action

ZERO stars! Bullying and unfair practices. Recently a dress caught my eye in the Liana store in marrickville metro- I wasn't shopping for clothes as I had my three young children with me who were tired and hungry. I went to have a quick look and was approached by a friendly sales assistant who told me how 'great that style' dress is etc....she went on to tell me it was the last in store, that that size always sells first etc and really pushed me into purchasing despite me saying I wasn't able to stop and try things on at that time. SHe told me it wouldn't be a problem and I should just keep my receipt. Sadly neither of the two dresses I bought fit properly. I took them back the next day and it was only then that I was informed of Liana's "policy" of exchange or credit note only. The pushy assistant the night before had not mentioned this knowing full well I had not tried on the garments. The store assistant I spoke to the next day was apologetic and told me she was 'tired' of other sales assistants in store doing the hard sell and doing this to people. She said her hands were really tied as she risked being fired if she did anything other than provide a store credit. The store could not exchange the dresses for me as they can not get the size I need at all. This woman seemed genuinely afraid when I asked her to call her boss to put my request to him. She did so but he didn't enter into conversation with her, just said 'no'. THe assistant gave me the management phone number - so once I was home (with my two ill-fitting dresses I didn't want) I called him. I calmly explained my situation, how his assistant had pressured me and implied a return would be no problem without telling me the whole picture. He became very irate on the phone, told me that he can't compete with big businesses ( how has that got anything to do with his returns policy?) and told me " if I gave every stubborn person like you their money back I'd have no business". THe fact that his staff omitted important information to make a sale, that they could not provide an exchange of my chosen dresses, they have nothing else in store that I actually want to wear AND he's angry with "big business" somehow makes me in the wrong according to Management. He belligerently told me to 'do what I have to do" before hanging up on me. The Management of this store are encouraging staff to bully people into sales, bully those who disagree by threatening to fire them and then bully their customers when they have the audacity to want to return items. They should be afraid of "big business" as with archaic and unfair policies and bullying tactics he and his staff employ - he will not have any customers soon enough. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone I can not to shop there. I hope he enjoys his $130 as it's the last dollar he'll get from me.

simple things to grab, put on and run. Most of my work clothes come from here.
The prices are great. I end up choosing one item and taking it in every colour they have.

I like Liana's cos it's budget and good quality for the price.

Approximate cost: $60

Liana always has something for me to look at and buy. They have a great variety of clothing, shoes and accessories and I always look to see if there is something for me. Great store, love it

Liana has a great range of ladies fashion and stock changes quite regularly. The shop assistance are great and very helpful as they know what looks best and what size is right for you. I bought a pair of blue jeans from there which have lasted me 2 years already and they still look new.

Approximate cost: $40-70
