1 review about Lifeline Shop

I used to love op shopping for clothing and nick nacks and finding a great bargin but now it's as expensive here at lifeline as buying brand new I used to spend so much time in this shop buying up but now I walk in and I look at the price tag and it really puts me off so I no longer go and shop here as much as I used to the staff aren't too bad but their not as cheerful as some either and that puts me off a bit too they don't even have sales or specials anymore like fill a bag for $5 or anything to encourage customer growth, and there furniture is ridiculously expensive too.

Hi Anniebombell, thanks for yet another concise review. It is regrettable (and morally reprehensible) that so many opportunity shops are choosing personal ‘greed’ over consumer ‘need’. We too have noticed that (in many instances) ‘new’ items of apparel can in fact be purchased for considerably less than ‘secondhand’ ones. A prime example of this was mentioned in the review for Ballarat’s ‘Red Cross’ Opportunity Shop, where cheaper (new) dresses could be purchased from the local Myer store! We have now gotten to the point that we would rather ‘give’ things away (on Freecycle) rather than donate them to greedy secondhand stores that increase their wealth, while those in need continue to go without. Thank you kindly for the heads-up! Reeces
