I also have been to this restaurant but it too was a fair few years ago. The sevice was slow but the meals were excellent.

I will have to go back again on a special occasion and try it out.

As the Herb Farm had a special Mother's Day menu, we booked in for a treat for the Mums. After sitting and waiting for over 30 minutes for someone to bring us water and take our orders, I had to approach a waitress and remind her that we were there. After our orders was taken (with much mixing up of how to cook our steaks) we waited over 30 mins AGAIN for our entree to arrive. Another trip to the counter was needed to inform staff that at 2pm and an hour after we were seated, we were quite hungry! Our order had not been put in by the waitress. The breads that arrived were very nice. Entree dishes had not been cleared away when our mains were served. Dishes were passed in front of guests noses and steak knives were not provided for those eating steak until later. We requested (twice) for a spoon to be brought to be able to serve the side serve of mashed potatoes. Dessert took a while to come out and cutlery was a little slow in arriving for use to be able to eat our selection. We were asked if we would like tea or coffee and it was only after one guest asked for a latte that we were informed the coffee machine was broken. That's fine, stuff like that happens, but we should have been informed from the start that coffee would be on an instant nature. The staff were apologetic (well actually one staff member, the other two young ladies did not come near us as much as possible) and our corkage fee was deducted ($20 for two bottles of wine).

On the plus side, the food was delicious. Very tasty and nicely presented. Just a shame that the shoddy service by incompetent (inexperienced??) staff ruined what otherwise have been a delightful Mother's Day luncheon.

Perhaps give it a miss.

After the Mothers Day Disaster in 2010, i had noticed that new staff have been bought into the business, and many renovations have taken place. Im a local, and i can honestly say that the restaurant is nearly the best it's been in over 3 years
