This is a huge shop off Ballarat Road and is almost like a day's outing in itself. There is a huge floor space here with everything and anything you would need for pets - food, equipment, bedding, homes, toys, leads etc.

In one way this is a drawback because it is so large and takes a long time to walk around. By the time you've found a staff member, you've forgotten the question. Staff seem to mainly be at the front counter.

There's a real cocky at the front which greets you and the kids enjoyed this a lot.

The prices of the large cages and guinea pig runs we were looking at seemed a bit high, but they are all assembled etc. and no shipping charges if you buy from somewhere else.

They had a good range of water bottles and other feeding dishes etc.

There are glass cases of reptiles and other creatures - bird eating spiders etc. so be warned if you're squeamish.

Worth a look, but shop around as well. You might end up coming back here for the convenience of taking it away now.

I bought one of my dogs from Living Jungle a few years ago and she's been a part of the family now since 2005. I regularly visit Living Jungle for my pet supplies, not only for my dogs but also for cold water fish. They have some staff who appear to have worked there some considerable amount of time and who are also very knowledgeable about pets, pet care and their products.
We just bought a large dog house last weekend for only $135. We had earlier seen large doghouses of the same quality for $400+ in some other places around Melbourne.
I love going for a visit there and seeing what I can buy to spoil my dogs at home.

This a rather large pet shop with fish,birds, reptiles,guinea pigs etc. for sale. I used to come here alot more until they sold me a male and female guinea pigs,when i specifically asked for 2 females. Needless to say they bred and we ended up with 4. It was pretty annoying because the staff member said he was sure that they were both female. And because they were for my young son he was devastated at the thought of getting rid of them.

Went to Living Jungle for pet food and spent almost an hour there checking out all the animals and products, staff were very helpful and accommodating, prices were really competitive and specials can be found on their website
