I love the lord Nelson brewery, the beer is great, the place is awesome and I love the food too. The pub is also out of the area where all the other pubs are so it is not as noisy.

I had a really enjoyable night here. The home brewed beer was delicious, and the variety was appealing. The summery pale ale was a very easy drink, the dark ale had interesting notes of coffee and chocolate, and the beer/wine hybrid was surprisingly enjoyable! The apple pie dessert was delicious and reasonably priced at $10. Entrees were generous serves. The bar had a pleasant atmosphere on a Monday night - not too crowded and not too empty. I'd definitely go back again for the beer.

Approximate cost: $15

The food, service and beverages are always good here. Plus the decor and everything is really nice. As far as pubs go, it really is one of the best

Great pub! Really it is. Food is fantastic even if you just buy a cheese plater it'll still blow your mind. It's warm and cosy and has an intimate ambience about it. I also think it's a great place to take your folks if they're still down for beer or two. Ah and the beer is pretty damn good too

Probably the best pub food I've had. The Ploughman's Lunch is a must! The best thing about this pub is their microbrewery. The best Australian beer there is!

This is something I'm doing reluctantly. I love this place so much I dont want anyone else to go there. It is that good. Atmosphere in the old convict built sandstone hotel in frnot of the open fire on a cold winters day or night with a plate of pie and mash, peas and gravy with one of the own brewed beers, oh the beers....
