I have stayed at this motel a few times now and really love it. the position keeps you out of the main stream of the traffic for a quiet nights sleep and the rooms are so generous in size that it is extremely comfortable to stay. Rooms are always very clean and the motel is easy to get to off the highway. I have recommended this motel to numerous friends.

Approximate cost: $109

M1 Motel.... supposed to be new, it's old.

Old carpets, old rooms, old cupboards. Most cupboards have a really obvious musty smell.

No power points available in the rooms. What there are is right down on the skirting board behind a big heavy unit with the TV on it. The only place you can plug a phone recharger in, is in the bathroom.

Beds are *horrendously* uncomfortable. All who stayed the weekend had something to say about the beds and pillows. The pillows are crap.
Several front doors have glass panels with black tape across most of the window so people can't see in. On most, people (obviously) have peeled/torn the tape so that there are gaps.

Air con, gets cold, but fan settings don't work.

Crappy little dvd player, free movies that are all rip-offs and constantly freeze.

We stayed for 3 nights. I thought we were supposed to get clean towels as needed..... but I was mistaken. I rubbed cream on my legs after a shower on the 1st night, and on the morning of 2nd day I had a shower just before the rooms were made up and noticed that the cream hadn't washed off in the shower and the towel had a pale cream mark. Not to worry, I thought, as I threw the wet towel on the floor so that it would be changed. That night I had a shower and noticed when I dried myself, there was a pale cream mark on the towel. I finished drying and threw the towel on the floor *again* to be changed in the morning. Came back later that afternoon (late) and went to have a shower. Took the first towel off the “clean” rack of 4 towels, and started to dry myself when I noticed the very same pale cream marks on the towel.
As for making up the room, they had pulled the covers up, but not changed the sheets.
$50 fine if you leave the air-con on during the day, even though the rooms gets as hot as hell.
It's next door to the Big Fish Tavern, local hangout for lots of people with those stupid bikes that sound like bloody trucks with no exhausts, and people who drive cars at great speed to make the tyres smoke.

Breakfast, adequate. If a tad expensive.
