Had dinner with a few friends at the Maccy Pub, always a pleasure, meals are consistently excellent. Recently dined on their Schnitzel night - $15, I had chicken schnitzel with chips and veg. My schnitzel was huge almost took up the whole plate, I only just managed to finish it and it was delicious. I had the salt and pepper squid for entree, it was perfect and priced at $12, great value. Service was quick and friendly, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their schnitzels, chips and beer. A great meal out.

After the winery lunch was on the agenda so came to the local hotel. Very nice country hotel with a good menu of light meals and more substantial ones. Salt and pepper squid was the choice and it was well cooked and served by friendly staff. The price was reasonable too. Look forward to returning. They have specialty nights and even do some takeaway. Very versatile.

I took family here for a bistro meal and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food on offer. I ordered the salt and pepper squid with chips and salad and the squid was really tender and seasoned perfectly. The chips were great. Someone else ordered the chicken schnitzel with the fat boy topping - you definitely have to try that one! The hotel does smell strongly of cigarettes after years of smoking before indoor smoking was banned but after a while I was used to it. The service was efficient and the seats comfortable. I'd go there again.

Nice, very basic hotel with food not taking too long to get to the customers. Very nice place to eat in and children are fine as well. Went there with a family and larger numbers of people could be taken.
