1 review about MacDonalds (Maccas)

OK, it's a Maccas, but they are supposed to be 'standard' everywhere you go, which is why people go to them. To be fair, I gave Maccas at Sorell *5* chances (call me a glutton for punishment!!) and the only good thing I have to say about them is that at certain times, they are good value for money.
The coffee at the drive thru used to be top notch and about the best in Sorrell. That has fallen to below par in the last 2 visits. Maybe they need to clean the machine thoroughly?

The service....... abysmal. To wait *15minutes* for a Cheeseburger and chips??!! This was the last trip and after waiting paitiently for that amount of time, whilst people who came in 6-8 minutes *after* me and ordered multiple meals and got them before me, I'd had enough and seen enough.

In the past my partner ordered a Big Mac and got the burger out after we were underway home, only to discover that there was only one meat patty, and the top half of the burger was completely 'bare'. We have gone through the drive through and ordered simple meals, only to get to the window to collect and be told to go into the waiting lane, which is what they were doing for just about *every* car on that day.

Another time, we ordered two meals to 'eat in'. My partner got her meal (Quarterpounder), and her coffee, and had finished them by the time I got my cheeseburger... that was about a 12 minute wait. On that visit, they gave us a handful of vouchers (by way of apology for crap service) for free icecreams etc, that we have not used. Also, when the meals on these long waits eventually arrived, they were only just warm (almost like they had been put up and forgotten about) and the chips were tepid to say the least.

The last Cheeseburger I had, I opened in the car and it had a minute dollop of 'special sauce/mayo' on it, hidden under the *1* slice of pickle, no sign of the red sauce... and what I thought was a dirty container was actually the lettuce. A fingerfull of dead and dishevelled lettuce on the bottom of the container, not on the burger.

We have tried the Macca's in town and at Rosny, and they were quite busy when we went, and we had our *hot* meal with drinks and coffee all together at the one time, within 3-4 minutes.

Maybe because Sorrell is a 'regional' center, the staff there have the 'country' attitude and can't handle the 'big city rush'. I really don't care. Macca's are an institution and have a standard to uphold. If they can't do it, and *continually* fail in their service area, they need to do something about it, ie: get competent staff/managers in there.

I was going to give 2 stars for quality, but because of their 'fail' on the last trip and their hit and miss on the quality of the product, I've changed it to 1.

And we won't ever be going back there again, we'd rather spend the extra 15 minutes and drive into the Macca's at Rosny, or the city. Or go to a local coffee shop.
