Beginning
Two Melbourne friends, passionate about gourmet chocolate, took a leap of faith and opened an online store – Maddison Lea – in 2010. A forerunner in the Australian online chocolate industry, we provided our customers access to artisan quality chocolates. We coupled this with a range of gift pack solutions for all occasions which seen us grow rapidly as the popularity of our range and service gained wider recognition.
Passion
Our passion for our products and to keep pushing our limits seen us branch out and open a café in 2012. We turned a humble little corner Milk Bar into a thriving café while incorporating our chocolate range. The success of the café demanded our full attention and we unfortunately had to push pause on our online store. However, after selling our café we decided in was time to go back to where it all began. This time… bigger and better!
Revival
In 2019 we took our Café learnings and passion for artisan gourmet delights to develop a range of products we are sure you, our customers, will equally be as passionate about. Now, in 2020, Maddison Lea has been reborn. We have an extensive range of quality hand-crafted chocolate and confectionery products with gift solutions that are suitable for any occasion — or even just to treat yourself!
Mission
We want to deliver the joy of chocolate and other quality edible delights to the mouths of our customers. We want to inspire customers to try things they may have never tried before and provide gift-giving solutions that bring smiles to those that receive them.
Beyond
We make hand-crafted, down to earth gourmet foods that excite. We do this by using the finest ingredients such as high-grade chocolate, which supports fair trade and responsible farming. Predominately, we proudly support Australian made, owned and grown products and companies. We are committed to the environment, making eco-friendly decisions always with our packaging, energy consumption and re-use measures.
