I've been attending Counsellors in all their various guises for many years and, really, although some have seemed to be helpful the help I gained was only transitory. A friend of mine mentioned Madeleine Baldissera and expressed her great satisfaction with the quality of the service that she provided and how she had been helped with a problem she had suffered from for years. I thought, well, I might as well give Madeleine a try and find out for myself. Within a short time during the first session Madeleine had me feeling very comfortable and we just talked about nothing in particular. In hindsight Madeleine was settling me in and allowing me to travel wherever my mind took me. The session flew by and before I knew it, it was time to go. I then realised that Madeleine had very skillfully found out a lot about me. Far more than I would have revealed to any other Therapist at a first encounter. To my surprise Madeleine gave me some homework to complete before the next session. I'd never had this experience before and was actually taken aback. After all, I was the one paying for the therapy, why should I have to do homework? Anyway, I did it and was amazed at how much I thought was buried within myself had been brought to the surface and I found myself confronting memories I thought I had forgotten about. Although this part of the therapy was a little confronting I persevered and completed my homework. Now I must state at this time, as Madeleine had pointed out to me at the first session, that my problems had been acquired and grown over many years and that there was no "quick fix". That the sessions would need to go on for some considerable time to repair the damage, or as Madeleine called it, disempowering the negative beliefs I held about myself by understanding how they came about in the first place and then developing a method of replacing them with co-existing empowered beliefs which would nullify the negative ones. I won't go on any longer. But I want to say that I haven't felt so well and confident in years and that I see my therapy sessions with Madeleine as an investment in my future life. She is the loveliest person you would wish to meet and one who has been through her own dreadful traumas and come through them. At last I had found someone who understands. Regarding the cost, Madeleine is negotiable and as I am on a pension she charges what I can afford to pay.
