Best food and service. We purchased takeaway and have left over food for tomorrow. Kids also loved the food.

*My 100th Review*

We were in the area for a show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. A quick Google of places nearby led us to this little Indian restaurant not far away from the BEC.

After reading so many positive reviews online, we just had to give it a try.

If it weren't for the glowing reviews, we probably would of dismissed the restaurant completely, it does look a little run-down, but I believe this is a small family run business who have been working here for 15 years!

And it shows, the amount of loyal locals visiting for take away and even dine-in on a Tuesday night was quite surprising. By the time we were ready to leave, there were no tables left.

The menu pricing is a little unusual, their curries come in small or large. We each ordered a small curry, expecting to be smaller than the average serve elsewhere, however the portions were very generous. I'd be interested to see how big a large serve really is! With a small, we each had enough to takeaway for lunch the next day.

The food was, as we'd expected from the reviews, excellent. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. To be completely honest, it was far from the best butter chicken we'd had in Brisbane, but I believe its unfair to review an Indian restaurant on a Butter Chicken, so I will base this review more in favour of the Lamb Vindaloo.

In both curries the meat was extremely tender and great quality. The sauce of the Vindaloo was rich, spicy and tangy. Just as advertised. I have had hotter Vindaloos before, but the spice in this one was perfect. Wasn't loaded with a ridiculous amount of chillies like some places do.

The service was fantastic too. The lady serving all customers was talkative and cheerful.

The prices were reasonable, I have a thing against having to pay extra for rice, especially given that you don't need very much - but for an entree of Samosas, 2 curries, rice & naan we were looking at $40 for 2 people with some over for lunch the next day... So still very good value.

It's too bad we live so far away, I'd love to check out the weekend buffet. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Approximate cost: $15

A small family run restaurant. Very friendly people and really delicious food. We get takeaway from here at least once a month.

Some of the best authentic food is found in these small unpretentious family run businesses. It is not flashy or large they spend money on food not on interior but I love it. Eat here with good friends and enjoy your dining experience.
