I recently received a voucher for a day spa package and when trying to book in was asked to do so via text message as requested by the voicemail. I sent a text requesting a weekend appointment to redeem my voucher and received the following message "We don't open Saturdays for gift vouchers as staff don't want to work those days or after 4pm.
We look forward to relaxing you when you come in. 10am to 4pm Tue Thur Fri"
The business hours online clearly state they are open on Saturdays and evenings so why should it matter if you have a voucher. I am not at all impressed with this response and the fact that all correspondence is via text message.

Hello I have been going to Malaga Massage Day Spa for over 10 years. They do the BEST MASSAGE and have big clean rooms comfortable massage beds. The staff are very friendly and good at fixing injuries too. I have also had a back wax which was done quick and well.
Also bought lots of friends and family gift vouchers over the years and they have been very HAPPY with Service too! Thanks everyone at Malaga Massage Oliver

I received a voucher July 2012 from my boss' for Malaga Day Spa. From walking in It was fantastic. The staff were friendly and it was so relaxing I walked out feeling like I was on cloud 9. Since the massage I have now been getting my waxing done. The staff are fantastic and have so much knowledge. I have had so many compliments on the shape of my eyebrows which has never happened before and not something I have noticed. I am now booked in for a facial and I can not wait! I would highly recommend Malaga Day Spa to anyone and happily buy vouchers for friends so they can have a great experience. The premises are clean and considering it is in an industrial area you walk in and it is chic clean and stylish and it feels like you aren't even in Malaga! I love this place !

Bear with me; this is a long one.

I was given a voucher for Xmas for a couple massage at this establishment, having recommended them to the friend who purchased herself and her partner massages and our vouchers. We went to redeem our massages and also paid for a pedicure as a little thank you for the friend for our massages that she could have when she can in to have her massage.
In the mean time, a family pet died and the couple were quite upset. Knowing that a massage is supposed to be relaxing they wanted to re-book their massages at a time when they were passed the grieving stage. My friend personally attended the business to explain as it was quite late notice. She was visibly upset and was treated badly, saying that they had to either book another massage then and there or pay the cancellation fee. The lady rudely told her she could speak to the manager (which my friend was happy to do to explain her situation) and tried to make contact with the manager who she didn't get through to and no-one ever called her back.

When my friend tried to book her pedicure and a massage some time later she was told there was no record of there being a pedicure paid for for her. She was told to have her friend (me) call back after 1pm when the lady would be on duty who could help. I called, and I was told that there was a credit for the pedicure, but until my friend had paid her cancellation fee they would not let her redeem it. So they were holding my gift as collateral against her "debt" My friend has tried since to speak to the manager who is either busy or not in and has not returned her calls.
I am out $70 (which by the way is a LOT for a pedicure) which I can't get back unless she pays $50 for a cancelled massage, which she would have re-booked if someone had have called her back and not treated her so rudely at the time of her visit.

I even explained that for a $50 cancellation fee, to loose myself and my partner (as existing customers who had spent hundreds of dollars there) and my friend and her partner (who if they had've had an enjoyable experience would have no doubt returned) this was quite petty and the whole 'incident' (their word) had been handled so poorly was a bad business decision. Sometimes it's better to be wrong and profitable than right and poor, plus what ever happened to customer service?

I have been seeing Ingrid and staff at Malaga Day Spa now for the past 9 years. I like the feeling as you walk into the reception area of the Spa. It's very inviting and too me immediately calming. I like the size of all the rooms and the atmosphere in each one. All the ladies working for Ingrid are very friendly and professional and open to conversation or if you prefer, no conversation. The 1 hour facial is my favourite, followed very closely by the massages. They are both damn good! If you haven't been before, I highly recommend it!

Malaga Day Spa is a hidden GEM.... I just a Pure Body Bliss Experience. The rooms are large. Friendly and Professional Staff. The BEST Massage I have ever had at a day spa. Apparently they have been open for 9 years I wish I discovered the AFFORDABLE and luxurious Day spa a long time ago.
