Had another wonderful lunch and afternoon. Met The owner after lunch and he was telling me about the improvements he has made since he has had he places number of years. Food is always excellent and a nice size serving. After meeting the owner my partner and I have decided we are going to get married there next year and Alain said he can accommodate us with anything we would like and he can also do separate meals for the people with allergies. If you want a great meal and a wonderful afternoon head out to the mallard duck you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I popped in for something light to eat. There is plenlty of parking available and the restaurent area is large, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Outdoor seating over looking some lovely gardens and a large pond. we had s share platter to give us a taste of what the Mallard Duck produces. Definately nothing to write home about, but it was a fairly decent size. Food is avaerage, but the prices reflect this. Probably one of the most affordable places to eat in the Swan Valley. Staff are friendly but not overly professional. The was a wedding reception on at the same time and we felt that there was not enough staff one to cater for customers and deal with a awedding reception, only 3 wait staff to loook after a full restaurant, that had booking for all tables.

Celebrated a birthday there yesterday and there were eleven of us. We had 2 platters of bread and dips to share plus a bruschetta. For mains, people ordered the chicken parmigiana, 300gm steak, paella, Jack Daniels' ribs (sauce too sweet) and I personally had the grilled Barramundi which came with salmon rosti, barramundi and soft shell crab with a salad. The portions were really over the top generous (more than the amount of food required so a lot of wastage). Very tasty as well. Ideally, the prices should be a couple of dollars less for a slightly reduced portion. I will definitely visit again but next time, I will share my mains with someone else. Service was friendly and efficient but as with most pubs you will need to go up to the counter to order and pay. Ambiance is pleasant.

I had a lunch date at the Mallard Duck and I found the ambience there was awesome. Overlooking a quaint lake, shame it was such a hot day as the balcony looked extremely pleasant, but we chose to sit inside in the air-conditioning. The staff were very friendly and relaxed, and we were made to feel welcome. The food was good, and reasonably priced, and the best bit I could take my own bubbly, they did have a good list of drinks there too. The gardens are also very pleasant to stroll in. Well done Mallard Duck

My husband and I ate here after we joined the wagon tour through the Swan Valley, we sat out of the veranda area overlooking the lake, setting was lovely and it was a nice warm day. I had a steak sandwich and hubby chose the salt and pepper squid. My sandwich was really nice and filling, decent quality steak without too much fat, could have done with a bit more salad rather than just lettuce and tomato but was still really nice. Staff were friendly, food came out quick enough, we did sit for a while after lunch just relaxing as it was a nice view.

We headed up to the mallard duck last weekend with friends. We were seated inside however it would be lovely sitting on the deck over the water. There is a nice choice of menu. Food came out quickly and was yummy. Service could have been better although it wouldnt stop us going back again. Definately with a visit.

Awesome food, get a seat outside by the water - it is so much nicer. The restaurant was pretty busy but we still didn't have to wait very long. The service let us down a bit as it took ages to bring us water then ages to clear our plates away but quality of the food made it pretty ok. I had the lamb casserole dish and it melted in my mouth. Review is for lunch.

We experienced the same service from staff as the last person however, if comparing Mallard Duck to some of the other cafes' in the Swan Valley the service here is exceptional! Whilst the staff service can improve the venue is comfortable and the atmosphere is friendly so we were happy to relax.

The food is good basic cafe food and the protions are generous however the staff are not trained and do not know the menu or policy on changes to any dish. New owner needs training
in basics. He is quite rude to customers. He was nice to us though.
