A convenient location to Frankston Hoyts but can't recommend this restaurant for much else unfortunately. The menu on their website is not current - their dinner options are now mostly limited to parmas and burgers, unlike the bigger range they advertise. This would still be fine with me normally (it was a bit harder on some friends with eating restrictions who we had tried to cater for) but the quality and taste of my parma, chips & slaw was very poor. No-one on my table of 11 people enjoyed their meals. Service was also a bit haphazard - at the start we were asked by multiple servers about drinks within moments of one another, then later it became extremely difficult to flag someone down when everyone on the table clearly had empty glasses. Several drinks were also forgotten and had to be chased down; some of the cocktails ordered were disappointing/incorrectly made. We ended up leaving before dessert and finding somewhere more enjoyable!

Tonight was my first experience at Mambo's restaurant and can say the waiting staff did an excellent job, I can only fault that they were too attentive! One waiter should service one area, not 4 of them as the communication gets lost in the crossovers.

The food was as expected for the price range, however the portion size was a little much for me, but that's pretty standard as well. If you're looking for a place with a wide menu range and plenty of drinks options, Mambo's has you covered.

Mambo Restaurant, Average food with average service, pricing was mid twenties plus, however the portion size was a little much for me, but that's pretty standard as well. If you're looking for a place with a wide menu range and plenty of drinks options.

my partner and i ate here for dinner a few nights ago my partner got a burger which was a large size heap of meat and fresh salads served with crispy chips. i ordered a chicken and parmasen in white wine sauce served with streamed rice which i was very impressed with hot food which was very fast to come out concerting how busy they were and good cuts of chicken were made with my meal, only downside is when ordering alcoholic drinks the waitresses don't really understand what your ordering and are easily confused other then that staff are great, the resterant is clean very polite.we were to full for dessert although the table next to us ordered some cake which looked very nice will have to try to fit dessert in next time we go. we paid $71 which included both mains a few glasses of soft drink and a cocktail each to try

Had the $12 lunch chicken parmigiana. Was served with a fresh salad and crispy yummy chips. The service was fantastic, meals didn't take long to come out, and the serving size was huge. They even let us split the bill! Would definitely recommend Mambos for lunch.

had the $12 lunch offerings.nice fish n chips with a sufficient salad.quite crispy and beer battered I believe.good sized serving.sat outside on balcony overlooking the street of shops, people walking by,it was nice, especially on a lovely weather day.smoking is allowed on balcony, and although im not a smoker,it didnt bother me too much.
drinks were ordered and delivered promptly,of average prices, and quality was fine aswell.
Waitress was polite and cheery and barman helpful also.
Even though the restaurant was quite full, inside and out.
Shall return.given close proximity to the beach also, for a stroll afterwards.(5 min walk)

Good value for money. They have a lunch deal from 12 - 3pm with selected meals for $10. I had a lamb wrap with chips and my husband had a chicken parma with chips and salad.

The services to take our order was a bit slow but they were very polite and the food tasted great :)

This is a restaurant my friends and I have frequently dined and/or had cocktails at for around three years now. The staff is very friendly and have always remembered us as loyal customers, which is greatly appreciated. They have a wide range of variety in both their meals and their drinks, and the service is usually very prompt. The food is great and very well-priced, but if you still want to go for a cheaper option, every Tuesday they have half-price special right across their menu. Just make sure you book a table on one of those nights!
All in all, a fantastic place to dine, drink, relax with a coffee or celebrate with friends.

i went there with large group and have to say i was so annoyed by time dinner was over. Although not expensive, the food took FOREVER to come out. Turns out they forgot my meal (ok, these things happen) then to make matters worse my satay chicken was dried out around edges...i mean rock hard, rest of stuff on plate not much better. was like it had been cooked hours ago and was sitting under hr=eat lamp or something. Never again!

Approximate cost: $25.00
