This was a lovely park to stay in. It has large areas everywhere so you don't feel cramped and hemmed in - big grass spaces, plenty of room around the playground and pool, big sites for large caravans and vehicles to come in - you can play a game of cricket or footy and even try and catch a fish in the dam.

People are really friendly and go that extra mile to help and good with kids. There's a pirate ship playground which is fantastic too.

Really close to town and all other needs in Mansfield. The toilet blocks are central to the whole layout and very clean and well maintained. There's a whole variety of options for staying here from basic cabins to deluxe to bunkhouses. They are very well priced from $60 to $70 a night (extra for more than 2 people and children - adult $10 and child $6) but even in the high season only go up by another $10 - 20 and not double in price like some places. Powered sites for camping are from $28 to $35.

And if you have pets (including horses!) just contact the manager. We actually had a guinea pig with us in his little travelling cage and that was fine.

It's cold at night of course, but the cabins are heated. If you're camping take extra bedding (hot water bottles).

So close to other wonderful attractions like Mt Buller and Lake Eildon.

It was a really great, fresh escape for us. Highly recommended.

Approximate cost: $Camping for 2 nights for us under $100

I stayed in this caravan park in one of their budget cabins. It was very basic but had all the essentials. The park was very clean with the amenities being cleaned on a very regular basis. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. It was a very quiet park with very little road noise despite being on the main road to Mt. Buller. It is only a small park with limited vacancies but I saw this as an advantage, making it more quiet. The pool was very clean (even though it is winter) as was the BBQ area. The mini golf was also a hit. I also found the prices very reasonable. It is great for families on a budget as the cabins sleep up to a family of 6.

Approximate cost: $50p/n
