I had to take my mother here after visiting her local GP and I was surprised at how quickly we got to see a doctor. She was very thorough and down to earth and spoke to my Mother in easy to understand language. Good service.

I taken my son to the Mater Childrens sector a handful of times , each time the staff were very helpful and friendly, waiting time can be up to an hour, but that's far better than 3 hours at a different hospital.
I think the Mater is the best hospital for children.

Staff are under under numbered and over worked here. The nurse staff seemed to be rather loud late at night but that might be because my room was right next to the nurse station. For some reason even I get regular calls from the fundraising center despite not wanting to be on it and constantly telling them to take me off the list. Had a very early time for operation though

although public hospital the staff are over worked but can still find the time to have a friendly smile and pleasant conversation. Appointment times are a little late sometimes but plenty to read and coffee shop if needed

there has been a lot of bad press about Qld hospitals but not this one. This is the best experience of profession care and service from any hospital i have been into. I have had 3 stays here in the last 2 months, Including surgery. They have restore my faith in human kindness. Absolutely not a waste of public funding This hospital needs if anything more funding for services and staff.
