Classes are not conducted properly

Horrible. Class cancelled ever time and they don't have any back up teacher. If you have back to back class better not to take it.

Not worth it - i don't recommend

The standard of tutoring depends on the teacher. Some of the teachers are so useless and it is so expensive. Don't waste your money. How can they get away with it!? It's gone completely commercial and seems like they don't care at all about students anymore. All they want is to be 'the best' and make money - don't go here if you want to be cared for or to feel like you're being helped.

as a selective school student who did not receive tutoring until grade 11, i went to matrix because it was well known and seemed convenient. i would say that matrix may be good for people who are academically challenged, but for me this was ridiculous. if you go to a school with hard assessments, matrix does nothing to prepare you. the tutors do not care, the books are arduous. i stopped going here after 2 terms, as i realised it is better to teach myself than to sit in a class full of students messing around. i came first in my matrix adv math course in the term i was there, despite being ranked near the bottom of my selective school.

I wouldn't EVER recommend Matrix because it isnt meant for an average student. It's ironic because students should feel secure with their learning, however, matrix does not provide that. many people might recommend it but according to me, its not worth the money at all. I'm staying only because I don't have time to find another tutoring centre but I wouldn't go around promoting them. their resources are okay, but their theory books aren't very nice (they have work and theory books); everything is scattered and they sometimes have useless information that might be outdated or not in the syllabus anymore. If you are a student or a guardian/caregiver looking for a tutoring centre, don't invest your money into matrix. I, myself (yr 12 student) do chemistry and math advanced would not recommend matrix. $1284 per subject for a yr 12 student per term (you cant tell me that the price is not a bit too much). Also, you should know that Matrix recycles and reuses its theory books. meaning they don't change their theory books because according to them it "a waste of time because the syllabus doesn't change and its too much effort" - words of an extension 1 maths teacher. don't think that they provide new questions. if you ask a student at matrix student from the year before and ask for their theory book, u really wont a see a difference in content. but to sum it all up, I can say with full confidence that there are better tutoring centres with affordable prices that provide a high level of education that a student may be in need of. this is an honest review (trust me). I just want to inform people that are looking for a tutoring centre for whatever reason. in summary, don't join matrix if you don't want to stress out, feel absolutely dumb and ignored and save money (you can invest your money in more useful and necessary things)

Matrix has very high quality educational material and very knowledgeable teachers who are genuinely passionate about the subject matter that they teach. The textbooks and workbooks are very thorough and very easy to understand.

Matrix has been really helpful. The material is well presented and provides an in depth explanation of topics. My experience with the science subjects has been positive. It is however quite costly compared to other coaching centres but is compensated by the great environment and learning experience.
