I went here recently for my birthday. Food was amazing, cocktails were amazing and the host was fabulous. Had a great NZ couple beside us its not cheap but you get more then what you pay for!

My father and I went here and I was actually blown away. The way they entertain whilst cooking your food is marvellous and definitely worth the money that we paid. The flavours were exceptional and the chefs are funny!!

I wanted to show the kids that there was more to Japanese food than sushi. We went here for lunch and it was a real authentic Japanese experience. The tempura prawns were delicious and I got to try soft-shelled crab at long last. Yum. We ended up sharing 1/2 dozen entrees because they all sounded so delicious (and were!) The chicken yakatori went down well with the kids, too. I would love to go back for dinner but the price jumps up so it was nice to have a trial for lunch. It cost us about $70 all up.

Love this restaurant! Edgar is a fantastic host who manages to make you feel like you're the only customers in the restaurant despite it being full. Some of the best food I've ever had!

Approximate cost: $25

We went along for teppanyaki to celebrate my husbands birthday and introduce the concept to our 4 year old son. Great food, wonderful service, great fun! Lots of attention to detail and very child friendly environment. An awesome night! Would highly recommend!! :o)

I disagree with the previous reviewer that mentions this as being expensive. At Nov 2010 it was $22 x person for chicken only teppanyaki and $33 for 'everything' teppanyaki (beef, chicken, fish and prawns) - and of course plenty of fried rice too - bear in mind this price includes a fabulous and very entertaining 'show' by your own chef that lasts well over an hour and a half. Then you can linger with drinks and the atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly and it's such an inexpensive fun evening of quality dining. Dominique

the teppanyaki is more expensive than some but it is definitely worth the extra. you will be full and satified from any of their teppanyaki set menus. my partner gets a seafood one and i get the chicken and steak. it is always devine! for something else away from the teppan try the steamboat to share, it is great.
