We have been to Max Brenner several times for coffee, hot chocolate and strawberries. Each time we visited was during a non-busy period, but the service has always been extremely slow. I would only recommend Max Brenner if you have lots of free time.

I am a lover of fine chocolate, but unfortunately Max Brenner doesn't quite make the grade. It is certainly a chocolate overload, but their pastries are ordinary and their chocolate isn't worth the high prices. Have certainly tasted much better, not sure why is cafe has such a cult following.

What an experience this place is! A must go for anyone with a sweet tooth! I was gobsmacked when I heard about a chocolate café, but sure enough, there it was....all things chocolate! They have an amazing selection of hot and cold drinks, chocolates, all different cakes and sweets and chocolate done in every way I can think of. It is a place to be tried for yourself if you are a lover of good quality chocolate. It is a little on the expensive side, but for an occasional treat that will be enjoyed, it is well worth it.

There is so many yummy chocolate dishes. Two of my personal favourite includes chocolate fondue for two and banana split. Both of these dishes can be shared between two. They also have a gift area where you can buy chocolates and coffee and cold drinks cups

I must say I was just a little disappointed when I went to Max Brenner - it took forever to be served, not to mention how long it took for our order to appear on the table. I appreciate that they had many customers, however I have been to other cafes who are also extremely busy but still give you fast service. The food is ok - if you want a true chocolate experience I would go to Koko Black in Civic though.

I'm super fussy when it comes to chocolate and unfortunately, Max Brenner doesn't compare to Koko Black. Don't get me wrong, Max Brenner does a good chocolate (although I find it too sweet for me and I don't fancy the taste of the chocolate as much as other gourmet chocolate places) and the waffles and fondue are good.

It is always packed at night so try to get in early or be willing to queue for your chocolate :)

OMG! This was amazing! I am a chocoholic, but even for me... this was new levels! I had the brownie sundae and I couldn't finish it, but boy did I want too! AND you get to dip everything in a chocolate pot.. I can't recommend it enough, but I'd say safe to say - share! haha

Approximate cost: $10
