my daughter had a problem with septic pump. as it was under warranty, they used the same people to replace the pump. when the plumber went to pull up the broken pump, it snapped off and fell into the septic. so they didn't remove it. they put in the new one. it wont work properly of course because it is resting on the old pump. I know that warranty only covers the item and not the labour but surely they should remove the pump they dropped causing further issues.
my daughter was so upset because one of the owners of the business was in her husbands face being very arrogant that she asked me (her mother) to call the company. I called the man who went completely of his trolley at me and when he finished speaking I asked him to listen to me now. I said I thought it would be fair to remove the pump in the septic as he put it there and we could have someone set up the new one (replaced under warranty) properly so it works. he told me to shove it and call consumer affairs.
now.. none of us has been rude to him, my daughter with 2 children under 4 has had to wash in buckets for a week and pay to have the septic pumped. this is unacceptable business practises. he has not taken responsibility for his actions.
