Melbourne City Library

Love the facilities and layout of this library! so many books to choose from and a great place to chill, study etc!

i love how there's artwork i can check out during study breaks, a piano for those who can play and study areas as well

i also love how it's free and there's heaps of books to choose from

cons would be the cleanliness of areas such as the computer room, lack of space during busy hours and general ruckus and loudness

absolutely great location, hip and trendy place and decent range of books

it gets a bit too busy at times and it's quite annoying not being able to find a spot, but overall it's not too bad

Great library, very convenient to pop in on my way to and from work due to it's close proximity to Flinders street. I'm pregnant with my first child and have found the selection of books and DVD's they have on pregnancy and birth to be of great interest. Easy to use service and you can look up items, reserve items and renew items online too.

Recently I needed a travel guide for a week and a friend suggested I join this library and borrow one! Membership is free and the service is great. I have not been to a library for a long time but after joining have borrowed mags, language guides, financial planning DVDs and books. Wonderful service provided by the city!
