I bought my Husqvarna ride on mower from these guys ( Red Shed Mitcham)
I dealt with Shane and cannot praise him highly enough. Shane was very helpful and informative and helped making my decision on which mower best suited my needs easy.
Highly recommend these guys, I will be back.

I bought a Honda mower from the Redshed in Mitcham and also recently took it in for repair when it wouldn't start. Their mower prices are a bit cheaper than their competitors, but that's where the positives end.

They offered nothing much in the way of advice on the mower purchase. I ended up with a mower that doesn't meet my needs (very heavy commercial mower that is no good for mowing a steep sloping block) which I will likely need to replace with a more suitable option.

I then made the mistake of taking the mower in there for repair when it would no longer start. They told me they had fixed it and all it needed was a service. They charged $140 for a basic service and when I tried the mower again at home it again failed to start and wasn't fixed at all.

I had no confidence in them after that and took it elsewhere to be fixed properly. The other place I took it quickly diagnosed the problem as bent linkages in the choke, and suggested the machine was probably damaged when I bought it. This confirmed for me that they hadn't checked the mower properly at all when I took it into the RedShed. A complete waste of money.

They may be OK if you don't need any advice on your mower purchase as their prices are a bit cheaper. However, if you want honest advice and servicing given them a miss.

I was looking for a new lawnmower for my dad - his old one had just bitten the dust and I was worried about his ability to mow the lawn with it anyway. I was driving past and decided to drop in - and ended up walking out with a lawnmower. The guy I spoke with (sorry, can't remember his name) was very helpful and knew a lot about the different mowers they had on offer. I ended up leaving with a Husqvarna model that has relieved a lot of the pressure on dad.

I bought our first mower from these guys last year and it is great! The service was fantastic as they guys really know what they are talking about. They specialize in ride on, mowers, chainsaws etc with Honda, Masport and Rover. There are several locations across Melbourne.
