I've used Doug's electrical service at our business for various jobs over the last couple of years, and have always found him to be punctual, and a good bloke who takes pride in his work, It was when he completely rewired my old terrace home (which is an absolute nightmare of a job) I realised how excellent Doug's service was, he worked with me to achieve the best possible outcome for my expectations and budget, and put himself out to work on the house just days after Christmas. I am extremely happy with the end result and would definitely recommend his service to others.

I read the reviews here before I called Doug and I wanted to agree with all the reviewers who appreciated Doug's great customer service and electrical services. He let me know exactly when he could make it and although the job wasn't urgent he came as soon as he could. He fixed our switches in a jiffy and picked up on something else that could have been an issue (but he certainly wasn't pushy about fixing this).

In October I had just a couple of power points put in and a check on a light switch; it had to be done urgently, so was fitted in on the day I called. Everything went perfectly, I was very happy with the work, the clean up and the exceptional service.

We had some electrical rewiring done which included some tricky replacement of very old rubber coated wiring. In addition Doug installed two sensor lights. We have used Doug's services before and have recommended him to others. Doug is always prompt and efficient!

He came at the time he said he would, was careful and respectful of our property and did a great job. He came back on another day to fix a minor thing and did not charge us for his time. I highly recommend him. We are very happy

Doug is now my electrician of choice. He is honest, professional and looks at your issue in context of what you're trying to achieve, not just the job in isolation. He takes the time to listen so he can give you the most efficient advice for your situation. He is very experienced, skilled and leaves the place clean and is proud of his work. Doug added a new tastic, added safety switches and a new mains connected smoke detector. I have already recommended him to other tradies working on my house.

This business was one of only two who replied to my initial messages left with about six local electricians. The other one gave me an email address to send them a list of the jobs to be done, to which I had no reply. By contrast, Melville Electrical Services replied the next day and came over within a week to inspect the works to be done. This provided me a chance to discuss the options available to me for the works that needed immediate completion but also works that could be done for future use (expansion and upgrade of circuit board to allow for later electrical installations). Doug was very patient and happy to explain all possibilities and these were done so very simply and clearly. The quote was supplied within two working days. Works were able to be done within the next week. Doug was punctual and efficient and professional in his approach to his work and tidied up as much as possible. These works passed the follow-up tests by the electrical inspector, who also commented on the high quality of this company's work. I highly recommend this company for their quality of work, willingness to discuss and explain all possible options, promptness with quotes and professional manner whilst undertaking works.

Doug had to put in a new power point and then updated the fuse box. He was punctual, polite and efficient. I now consider him to be my electrician.
