Lovely little place to stop in for coffee and a sweet treat- came on a overcast afternoon a little while ago and enjoyed sitting inside away from people to enjoy a last latte with a friend who was going traveling. Pies are nice too :)

When we went on a Saturday the line was huge and they were running out of pie flavours. This place has a really good reputation...and the pies were nice but the wait was a bit annoying. The place is unusual with lots of little rooms and nooks to sit in, and an outside garden area...but to me it was not terribly inviting because of the lines. THough i will try this place again when i'm not in a rush. Good vanilla slices etc. about $4 for everything so the bill soon adds up. Not really 'bakery' prices....which is what i expected.

I had a sausage roll and apple cake. Really nice homemade sausage roll and the apple cake was delicious, no skin found inside the contents ( skin on cooked apples is a pet peeve of mine ) Great place to come for coffee and cake, seating inside and out

Fast friendly service here. Basically I love coming here for the range of pies (I really love pies). Always fresh and great value ($4). Have a try.

I love the Mernda Bakery... the bread is beautifully soft and fresh, the coffee is perfect, never too bitter, and always hot enough... the pies and cakes are the best in town!

Fantastic breakfast and lunches, the deserts and cakes made by their resident French baker are to die for. Service is swift and friendly - highly recommend
