Good value for money and has all the recent movies
We do love the Boronia cinemas and have been patrons forever. I love they are local staff are personal and nice prices are great etc. The only downside which I have tried to ignore but now can't anymore is the colour quality of the films is very low. So I won't be coming anymore and I am aware the owner believes that its good colour quality but my own tv colour at home is 100 percent better quality. Sorry to make this choice.
Approximate cost: $9
Not your fancy corporate cinema but excellent value for money. Support local businesses!
Great budget movie theatre! The tickets here are cheap but the cinema isn’t! Comfy chairs where the cup holders can fold up which is nice for extra room! They actually make really nice popcorn that isn’t overly buttered like other places :)
Cool private cinema experience, if you like affordable prices for the same thing you'll get in a big cinema this is great! Without the crowds and loud full cinemas. Fresh popcorn
For cheap tickets and snacks you can't beat this place! Small cinemas but better value for money.
Dont waste your money on greedy corporate cinemas. Metro wins by a mile.
Approximate cost: $12
Best Family Cinema around. I have been going to the movies at Boronia Cinema for 30 or so years. I have great memories of going there when i was young. And now the bonus of being able to take my daugher there as my mum did with me. The staff are very friendly, greet you with a smile and always willing to help. Tickets prices are the cheapest around and the candy bar is priced fairly. I dont even bother looking at other Cinema session times as Metro is always our first choice. Thanks Metro for all the great times. Cheers.
Has been in boronia since the late 70's from emory was a hoyts now a independent which has bought ticket prices diwn njoy going here
The small cinemas and lack of crowd are very pleasing, it's nice to get away from the big cinema complexes.
Popcorn is less buttery so tastes delicious. Still full range of snacks available, with combo deals.
Cheaper prices for the same movies also bonus!
Approximate cost: $10
Metro cinemas is great value. Ticket price and the candy bar are great prices. I cant justify going to regular cinemas paying $22 a ticket when metro only costs $12.50. You can join up as a member for only $20 (annual fee) and entry then only costs $8. Its never packed so a great seat is always guaranteed. I much prefer to support Metro Cinema over Village/Hoyts.
Approximate cost: $12.50
Love this place.
Most of the time their surround sound is off though :/
I love that you can still pick your own seats, and put the seat arms up! Very old school.
Extremely cheap too!!! Much less pricy then other cinemas nowadays.
Very clean place, very kind workers too.
Approximate cost: $10
a small, friendly business. great prices, good service. popcorn is reasonably priced, so are all candy bar items. the cinemas are well kept and the staff always willing to help.
Approximate cost: $20
love this place. everything is soo cheap it would cost a family easily $100 to go to village but at metro the family ticket is $32 or something like that. the food deals are really cheap as well and the popcorn is enormous. i like the small cinemas it is usally very quiet. you can choose where you want to sit and it would be very rare that you would have to sit next to anyone else. love it.
Easy and affordable when taking kids to the movies, could possibly put on an extra staff member on school holidays but otherwise very pleasant outing that didn't cost the earth and their member club is amazing value. The staff they had on were very calm and lovely to deal with.
Approximate cost: $8
Good local cinema the food and the cost of the cinema tickets so much cheaper than the competitor cinemas. Friendly staff and a good movie selection. Has everything you need great for taking your kids as it usually works out so expensive taking the whole family to the movies.
Approximate cost: $7-12
My friend and I arrived at the theatre and purchased our seniors tickets and were offered a free coffee which was much appreciated. The young man who served us was very pleasant and our experience at the theatre was very enjoyable. It was our first time there and we hope to return soon. Price was good too. Ample parking!
Approximate cost: $9 each ?
This is a family run business and it shows. They really want you to have a great experience from the moment you step inside, and if you phone they are friendly and helpful. A great outing with my nieces and nephews. Pity about the 2 hour parking limit if you're seeing a long movie though.
Approximate cost: $30
Unbelievable value! For just $20 yearly sub you get $7 entry each for you and a friend, plus a free entry, plus reasonable snack prices, plus friendly service, not the dazed couldnt-care-less that costs you (at least) twice-the-price elsewhere. Just one little gripe...Rock of Ages deserves to be heard through more than 2 front speakers....youve got side speakers, so can you pls turn them on?
Approximate cost: $20
Nice cinemas to go to, they've been here for years and are quite modern considering their age - nice for a Saturday afternoon movie
Metro Cinemas are excellent value. The cinemas are smaller but the price is great. They have a good range of movies, fast snack bar service and even the snack bar is good value! Locally owned and operated, the owner used to come into the restaurant I worked in nearby quite a bit. She's lovely and really cares about her business.
Approximate cost: $10
A great cinema that I have been attending for years, the service is almost always fantastic, in fact I've one encountered one unpleasant staff member, the prices are great and even the candy bar is quite cheap compared to other cinemas! Truly a great local business.
Great local cinema. The staff are friendly and they have most of the current movies showing. Good cheap prices too, which are a bonus
Our local cinema, always friendly & a great local asset. Family-run, personal service. Senior's prices every day plus free cuppa (for seniors)
Approximate cost: $7.00
This cinema is amazing. It is conveniently located near Boronia Railway Station and lots of bus stops. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the experience that is given is amazing. This cinema gives the personal touch to everything from buying tickets to purchasing food and drink and being show to your cinema. The theatres are extremely cosy, the seats are very comfy and are never too crowded. The movies shown are new releases and are normally released a day after they arrive in bigger cinemas. I would recommend this cinema to anyone and everyone!
Approximate cost: $10 per ticket
I really love my local theater . It is so convenient and great value for money ( I am a member so get discount price) The seats are comfortable, the theater's not too big and never crowded and many of the movies are new releases. The staff are always friendly.I enjoy nothing more than watching a movie there , with a nice cup of tea from the kiosk and the company of my good friend. We seem to go every couple of weeks!
Approximate cost: $7.00
I can't rave enough about these cinemas. They are a great family run business, screening a selection of the latest releases at a fantastic low rate - always. A cheap membership is also available and you receive the cost back (almost) in discount vouchers when you join. I have joined up a few of my friends already! The screens are adequate for most feature films and the cleanliness is really good. Only issue is that the cinema can be small for some people.
Approximate cost: $10.00
Very good value suits a low budget. One of the cheapest cinemas around. Quality is very good for price. Very friendly staff. Movies are up to date as well with a variety of movies that suits everyone at any given time.
This cinema offers great value for money for your family. It also offers party deals which includes Movie, Drink & popcorn for $12.50. I also like the fact because it is a small cinema there isn't all that pushing and shoving you get in some of these bigger cinemas.
This is the only cinema I can afford to take my 5 children too but they have a great time there. They get to see the latest movies at a price mum can afford. Even though we have to drive 25 minutes we save alot of money and that lets us go more often.
A lovely cinema to take your family. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The selection of movies is equal to the larger facilities although you get to watch them in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Approximate cost: $7
