Love these guys

Midland Smash Repairs have helped me out a number of times over the last 15 plus years. And I’ve always been happy with them. I had thought I’d broken my windscreen wiper by going through a car wash. But not only did they uncover it was just a loose bolt but they fixed it at no cost. So a good service with nothing unnecessary!

Unsure about midland smash

I honestly don't believe I would, it was referred by Insurance. My car wasn't ready on time as a part they had ordered still hadn't arrived. They took the part needed from another vehicle they had there being worked on. They had my vehicle since November 23 and as it's 18 January 24 I thought that surely parts would have been ordered in time. My car was not cleaned inside and some brown sticky stuff inside front drivers door like spilt coffee, bad service more care needs to be taken. I also asked where my report from mechanic was they said no idea it wasn't given to them, oh yes it was sitting on front passenger seat.....wtf

Approximate cost: $8000

I have had a couple of repairs done here and can't fault service or repair. Excellent staff and very impressed by their willingness to check work after repair. Brad was brilliant in being able to repair my windows quickly and made my day

I put my car into Midland Smash Repair as it is the recommended repairer by my insurance company. Right from the beginning I found all of the staff very friendly and professional.
The quote bay is under cover and I was seen to by Chris within 5 minutes of parking there. My car was booked in within 2 weeks and I was given a hire car while my car was in for repairs.
Throughout the process I received texts advising me of the progress of repairs and today I picked my car up.
When I got home I noticed that they had also repaired my number plate which I had damaged getting too close to a tow bar. It is the little things that make me appreciate the service given by any business.
Thank you so much to Chris and all of the crew.

Approximate cost: $1500

I was referred to Midland Smash Repairs by my insurance company for a minor repair to the bumper of my car.
I was looking for a second quote and was refused. I also found my initial reception to be quite a cold one. This was even before what I was asking for was stated.

To my mind this is not open, transparent business practise. I would not support any business that wasn't willing to give a 'second opinion'. Isn't this what the free market is all about?

I'm going to discuss this with my insurance company. To me this smacks of unfair business practise - towards both the customer and the smaller businesses.
By the way, the repair is to be paid for by the insurance company of the driver who bumped into me. I don't need to worry about the cost, but it is the principle that bothers me. It feels like the price of repairs is inflated because no-one questions things enough.
