These are one of a few absolute must dos when you are visiting or living in Darwin. The markets are a true multicultural experience with a multitude of different options even when I was living there I didn't nearly get through them all. The experience of getting your food and then sitting on the beach and watching the sunset is truely breathtaking. Just do it!

Going to Mindil is always a highlight of the dry season, for tourists and locals alike. Fireworks night is always the best, when the markets are buzzing with atmosphere. Most of the stalls are food or handmade items, which dosent really interest me, but its aways enjoyable.

Mindil Beach Sunset Markets is a seasonal market which are held at Mindil Beach. The markets are on every Thursday and Sunday evenings and run from the last Thursday in April to the last Thursday in October (the dry season). These markets are awesome and found in one of the most diverse towns you'll find in Australia!! The markets have a multitude of stalls, food is the main attraction and it spans the globe from Thai, Sri Lankan, Indian, Chinese and Malaysian to Brazilian, Greek, Portuguese and more. Local artists also have stalls and showcase some amazing works ranging from paintings, clothes and other bits and pieces. The unique combination of great food and an electric atmosphere make a visit a must do.
