I love visiting this quirky diner because it feels as if you have stepped back into the 1950's, due to the unique decor and pictures of old Hollywood movie stars on the walls. It was easy to find a table and when first seeing the menu I was excited to see so many meals that originate from America. I ordered a burger with chips and the serving size was very large and exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and made you feel very welcome. A great hidden gem that I will happily return to very soon.

I suggested to my family that we should try it out tonight for dinner, so we can use the entertainment book voucher and plus its a kid friendly place.

From when we walked in, the waitress was so bubbly and cheerful, which is always lovely to be greeted so happily! and yes the rest of the wait staff were very courteous and smiling .. seems like they enjoy their job!

we ordered burgers which were delicious, i had one which had blue cheese and it was divine, although it was bit messy with the sauce dripping!!

the kids meal for my toddler was very fancy indeed, it came in a paper board cut out of a pink Cadillac car! two mini beef burgers with curly fries and ketchup on the side was well received by junior ... well ... us parents were not impressed when he decided to dip his little fingers in the sauce!! ohh yes a small bottle of water came too with his meal.

we ordered chips to share which had tomatoe, olives, spring onions on it .. found it interesting enough to eat and tasty of course

its a lively place playing some classic tunes which you cannot help but sing along too.

definitely will go back again for a non-healthy meal but totally worth it if you enjoy American style food

Their burgers are so delicious and you're right about the staff, when I visited they were incredibly kind and welcoming. The decor adds to the experience too. Great review, there's a lot of detail about your experience which is really helpful.

Great place to get an American Diner experience. The set up is just like what you would expect from a 50's diner. Similar to the places on the movie Grease.
The food is very heavy and fattening, so don't expect to order a Salad.
You cannot make bookings at the Reservoir restaurant so the wait and be long. Once you arrive you put your name down for a table, once a table is free you sit and then line up to order at the counter, then you wait for your food. The three places to wait means it can take a long time i get your food, the first time total wait would have been about an hour. The second time our food took a bit longer and my meal was already cold.
I would suggest the waffle fries, they are great.
The staff are very friendly and when Misty is working she makes the place very lively.
With such a unique dining experience a longer wait is expected than going to a Italian restaurant and the wait is well worth it.
You can also call to pick up take away if you do not want to wait.

Approximate cost: $20
