We were extremely disappointed with this removalist company and would not recommend. We usually book our move with a high profile company but thought this time round we would use/support a family owned private company (I guess here was our first mistake!) We booked 5 weeks in advance (14th September to be exact) to ensure our move went smoothly (with 2 small children this is paramount!) We booked in for 7am. By 7.24am there was no sign of them so I called [Retracted name], only for it to go to voicemail. I received a text back about 10mins later saying they had us booked in for 11am! I replied to this text and stated I had booked 5 weeks early for a 7am pick up and requested a phone call. He texted back saying he had just realized he had made a mistake and they would be there as soon as they could. This was completely unacceptable as we had arranged for extra help this day and we were ready to go (literally!)
I called again to ask for an ETA to which I received his voicemail. He quickly TEXTED back saying ‘as soon as we can’. I replied to his text requesting a time to which he replied 11/11.30am. We accepted this and left it at that – we had my dad’s trailer and a few family member cars so we packed as much as we could and did a few trips to the new house until this time. Still no show at 11.17am I called him again asking when he might be arriving (you guessed it voicemail AGAIN!)…after 30mins he TEXTED me saying this move was taking longer than expected as the access wasn’t ideal. Fair enough however why not keep me updated! I asked what suburb they were in so we could plan around that…he eventually replied saying Coomera…we live in Forest Lake! The boys ended up arriving at 12.50pm completely oblivious to all of this, once we filled them in they were extremely apologetic and informed us that their boss (the guy I had been speaking to all day, [Retracted name]) was on holidays!!!! No wonder he wasn’t answering my calls! Not once out of all of this did he call me to apologise…and still till this day we have not heard from them!
Our move took 2hrs from when they arrived till when they finished unloading – quickest move we’ve ever had but only because we had done numerous trips backwards and forwards so all the boys had to pick up was the main furniture and a few boxes...not mention my husband, sisters partner AND my dad assisted them from load up to offloading. The boys themselves were hardworking but the management was appalling and the worst we have experienced. One thing we weren’t informed of at time of booking is they only accept cash so we had that dilemma at the end of scrounging up this money. Not to mention they do not provide a receipt. They are extremely disorganized and I would strongly recommend you steer clear of them for your move as you don’t want to be caught stuck like we were – especially when we have 2 members of our family with heart conditions and other health related issues which caused much stress!
