1 review about Monterey Tourist Park

This park is in a little town on the banks of Lake Macquarie that is surrounded by a massive power station. Don't let that put you off as the power station has no impact upon the park.

The park has a cycle/walking path running in each direction (for a short distance) along the lake and a boat ramp into the lake.

The views are excellent.

The park is spacious and the sites have ample room. They are grassed but reasonably even.

There is an excellent camp kitchen with barbeques and all of the facilities. It has excellent picnic tables. The dining area is open but there are awnings that can be lowered if it is windy. There is also a television here.

The amenities block is large and clean with very good showers. The block is a little way from the camp area but there is a toilet more conveniently located beside the camp kitchen.

The park also has a nice swimming pool.

There are some shops located just 700m from the park.

Approximate cost: $35
