Monties is an excellent place to catch up with friends and family. Their coffee is amazing and their breakfast menu offers a variety of delicious dishes. The wait staff are friendly and bubbly and do what they can to make your visit more enjoyable. The atmosphere was great. I will be coming back very soon.

Just LOVE Monties. It's become our new 'local'. With the insanity of Brunswick St, Smith Street makes a much lovelier option and Monties is simply the best. Their coffee is the best in Fitzroy - I know a big call, but true. Food is great, simple generous portions and nothing is too much trouble. The waitstaff are EXCELLENT. Friendly, upbeat and happy to help. They're equally wonderful with my 2yr old and my 35yr old friends.
There's a good wine list, a bar with endless supplies of booze and a gorgeous atmosphere (not to mention how fabulous the decor is)!

Monties do a great breakfast and their breakfast menu extends to 4pm! It's also a hopping nightspot after dark, but I'll leave that for you to find. : )

Monties is like a secret that shouldn't be shared. Love it!
