I liked the atmosphere and decor of little cow touches everywhere, the food was satisfying and the pricing was a little high but the service was very good.

I've heard a lot of people in Sydney talking about Moo Burger and was keen to see what the hype was about. Turns out, it's not about much.

The ambience of the restaurant in Newtown is fine enough. They only had a ten-seater table left and there were three of us, but they didn't mind letting us just take the whole table, which was nice. The walls are covered in drawings of cow-related things - another cute touch. The noise levels are okay, and the bar is in the centre of everything.

But the food! For $16 per burger, I was expecting something magnificent. The 'Greek Lamb' burger sounded extremely promising and I was quite disappointed by what I got: an average burger that wasn't nearly as satisfying as a guilty Saturday night spent at a McDonalds drive-thru. I compare it to McDonalds because they recently had a lamb burger out for maybe a third of the price of this burger - and their's tasted better. This was dry, semi-flavoured and difficult to eat. The salad tasted like nothing special and the tzatziki tasted like it was store-bought.

And no sides were included in the price! A side of chips were an extra $4 and that was the cheapest they had to offer. You'd think for $16 you'd at least get some chips thrown in with your burger, but no. The staff were pleasant enough, but the 'order at the counter' style again made me wonder why I was being charged so much. It's hard to evaluate a staff member's service when the restaurant barely requires them to serve you. Not an experience I'd like to relive any time soon.

Approximate cost: $20

Have to agree with you - for the price of one of these burgers you can get a brilliant steak and veg/salad somewhere else

Checked this out with the family. Good kids deal at 9.95 for small cheeseburger and chips, milkshake and a small iceblock. Burgers were average at best - bun was not toasted and a little lacking in freshness, a bit rich at 12.50. I went with a voucher which was a free main course of equal value with one purchased. I was immediately irritated and annoyed when rather than giving me the 12.50 main for free, they substituted the kids burger instead. Difference was only 2.55 but it was not in the spirit of the voucher and struck me as penny pinching at its worst. Consequently wont go back esp as there are other much better gourmet burger places around. Shame as they do use a lot of organic and fair trade produce.

Approximate cost: $12.50

I love the variety that this place has, lots of different meats and other topping in great creative mixes.

The atmosphere is great really fresh and funky. I love all the kids artwork on the wall.

Food is always fresh and made very fast. It can get very busy though on a friday or saturday night so be prepared to wait.

Really expensive for just a burger. I ordered a lamb burger and it was dry and flavourless, with barely any sauce. Was so dry it was hard to eat. A few shitty salad leaves and no sides for about $16? Not worth it at all.

Approximate cost: $15 - $20

Approximate cost: $18

Have to be the best burgers in Sydney! The chips are amazing, its a little on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients shows. Staff are very friendly, its order and pay at the counter so I rated the service a bit lower.

Approximate cost: $15.00

This overpriced, under serviced burger joint is not somewhere you go for a good cheap burger and a couple of drinks. $4.00 for a 300ml bottle of coke is ridiculous. The burgers aren't very nice and are very expensive and chips will cost you extra!

Approximate cost: $20
