I am writing to say how unethical and unacceptable it is of Mortgage Mart to increase the mortgage rate during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The impact of not passing the RBA rate cut in March of 0.25% AND then increasing our rate by 0.20% is a net effect increase of 0.45% and down right unethical in this difficult time.
Do not pass on rate cuts. In fact after the rba has reduced them over the last 12 months by 1% my loan has actually had a rate increase of 0.1 of a percent, even putting the rate up after the corona virus cut. Unethical and immoral. Also staff are unavailable on their call centre number.
No customer service. Do not return calls or respond to emails. Unprofessional.
If you want customer service..... STAY AWAY !!!! You will not receive call backs or updates, You will have to chase constantly for answers, You will have to go to the lender to get answers, It will take months for a simple request!!!! POOR SERVICE!!! INCOMPETENT STAFF!!!

stay away from this company. I have never encountered such incompetence. They [redacted due to generalisation] weeks to make anything happen, routinely loose paper work, and on top of that miss quote me by a couple of hundred dollars a month on a fixed rate loan , and don't think there is a problem with that. They routinely don't return calls to try and resolve the issue either. People like the folk from Mortgage Mart are the reason this industry has such a bad name!
Considering they specialise in mortgages you'd think they would know what paperwork you would need to provide when applying for a loan...apparently not...after weeks of sending and receiving emails of yet more information they 'now required', they pre-approved the loan...then it took them almost a month to get my finance 'approved' to purchase my property...in the meantime my 2-week finance clause had been breached and they didn't seem to think that was a problem and 'oh, it should be ready tomorrow' was the usual response. Totally unprofessional.
