Made the mistake of going to another mechanic who just ripped me off. Won't be going anywhere else but MP from now on. Good prices, good people, won't rip you off by trying to sell you services you don't need unlike others around.
Got a new battery, service and belt tightening for far less than I expected to pay.

I have used MP Auto for about 5 years based on the recommendation of a friend. I now get my children’s cars serviced there as well. They have always been prompt, courteous and reasonably priced. I think it’s a great thing if you’re prepared to tell your friends about a service - well I tell everybody. It’s a great location as it’s so close to Petrie train station. Absolutely impeccable service, my air con blower motor died in my XR6. After a ridiculous quote I called MP auto and spoke to Peter over the phone who diagnosed the issue and gave me an amazing replacement quote. After bringing it out to him and pulling the fan out he suggested a cheaper way to fix the existing fan. And after working a fair while on it, finished it for no cost! I will definitely be returning and recommending them anyone else. These guys are awesome.

This business takes the word 'Service' to another level, I called at 5:30pm this afternoon to enquire about our Nissan D22's aircon that had stopped working. Peter told me to come on down and he'd take a look at it. A tricky job to get to the part that needed work but he persisted in the dark, he didn't have a replacement part on hand but knowing that I needed the work done quickly he repaired the unit himself and when I asked what the job was worth he wouldn't take any money for it after an hour of labour. I was speechless, we have been a customer of Petrie Auto Electrics for many years and have always valued Peter and Mark's work but the kind of service we received today is something that has floored me. If you're looking for an honest reliable tradesman you can't go past this business.
