Last Saturday, about 11am, the starter motor failed in my car. About 12MD I cold called in to the shop and met one of the owners, Peter who was working on another vehicle, and getting ready to finish for the day. Without question, as I was in a real bind, he agreed to repair the starter motor without question. I had called into two other repairers/auto electricians before going to MP Auto and they both responded that they were closing for the day and to come back Monday.
Luckily Peter had all the required parts to replace the worn components and get me going again. This was the first time I had been to this repair center, who were recommended to me by another local business. It will not be the last time! Great, friendly and efficient service. He even made me a cup of coffee! Based on the service I received, particularly considering it was a Saturday afternoon, I can not recommend MP Auto more highly. The price for the repair was reasonable and a lot cheaper than purchasing a new starter motor. Peter, you are a credit to your profession. Well done.

This is the first time as a woman I've felt totally comfortable going to a mechanics workshop- it's nice to be treated like a VIP instead of the usual chauvinism I've experienced elsewhere, I've now reccomended Peter and Mark to my mum and grandma. They are so courteous and professional and they were really cheap on a week where I was totally stressed. 10/10 would recommend!

Phenomenal service! On the15th of August i called MP Auto Repairs to enquire about a battery installation on a car i purchased a day prior. I was flustered (because i was late) and restricted for time as i'd planned to hit the road early that day to begin my drive to Innamincka (a very remote region in South Australia).

Without taking any details over the phone, they assured me I'd be attended to as soon as i drove in.

My day was crazy and i was late getting to the workshop. As soon as i drove in in my Rav 4, 2 guys came over to me, opened my bonnet and replaced the battery within 10 minutes. They were amazing. I was completely blown away.

I highly recommend MP Autos based at Petrie. Over the last few years I have taken business & family vehicles to them for servicing and repairs, and recommended them to friends. They have always provided excellent service. They are honest, decent, hard working businessmen who will do the 'right thing' by people. I have no hesitation in recommending their services. I rocked up, no appointment, with electrical problem.
Peter did complete check of problem, fixed it, (even though no parts were used), taking a good hour, and did not want to charge a thing for his effort, expertise and time.
I managed to make him accept a token amount, so all in all, very happy with their prompt service.
For any future such problems, I will certainly be giving them my business, and insist paying the proper and reasonable amount.

Mark and Peter are local blokes. They take care of their customers - they are in it for the long haul. They want repeat business, and they are getting it!

It is hard to find a trusted, reliable mechanic, and these guys are the most trustworthy I've ever had in my 35 years of car ownership. The shop is quite busy, but they make every effort to squeeze you in if it is urgent.

I trust them to fix it, fix it well, and fix it right. If their work doesn't fix the problem, they make it right (this only happens rarely, when they are trying to save you money). They don't use the most expensive fix, but use the best fix. I trust them for mechanical, electrical, replacement, log book services, and if it is something else, like body work, I will ask them first because I trust them.

Their prices are 1/3 what a dealer would charge.

I have been getting my car serviced there for years and have always found them to be honest, reliable and best of all, they explain the problem if there was one and being a female, that is important. They are great mechanics and nothing is ever too much trouble. Mark and Peter also have a good sense of humour to add to the business.

I have used these guys for years, even before there was a P. They are always honest, helpful, and go out of their way to give good value. They will always explain things if you ask and apologise when more work than was expected may be needed.
I trust these guys with the safety of my car (and therefore my family), no questions asked. I understand enough to know when someone may not know what they are talking about - never had that worry here. Highly recommended - be honest back and don't try and rip them off because they are helpful.

Being at the train station is a fantastic place and they are open until 5 when the train gets in - VERY convenient.

This is the second time I have taken my car here.
First time I had a damaged Headlight socket which had melted and they promptly fixed it at a very reasonable price and without delay.
Second time was a couple of days ago when a major Oil leak in the engine of my Subaru was so bad and causing alot of smoke, The guys fitted me into their schedule though they were busy and short staffed.
They replaced my Timing Belt, Water Pump, Hydraulic Tensioner, Radiator Hoses, Aircon Belt and required Gaskets along with the required topup of Oil and Radiator Fluid very quickly and my car was ready later that day.
Not several days like many other Mechanics would have taken to do the same or less job.
Always great prices and fantastic service and with a smile.
They are very close to the Train Station so that can be a great help for those who need to get home if their car needs longer time to be repaired.
I work within a minutes walk from the work shop and found their location very convenient.
A work mate put me onto these guys and I'm very glad he did.
I recommend their services to everyone that I hear needs car repairs.

We were put on to MP Auto by a friend about 18 moths ago and have been going there ever since. As others have mentioned, these guys don't charge like wounded bulls and they do a good job.

We are very happy with the friendly service and their hours make it possible to drop the car off and collect it without having to be late for work or leave early.

They are our service repairer, servicing both our cars regularly. They do a great job, going out of their way to help, if time is an issue. They are also very fairly priced, never leaving me feeling that I have been ripped off, like I did with some previous workshops. This one is definitely one of the best around. Wish it I'd find one just like it everywhere I move to. Tops!

Amazing service was up on holidays when my car started to play up, took it them. The owner came out had a look at the car and told me what was wrong. he fixed it on the spot so I could be on my way. Would recommend to everyone

These guys are BRILLIANT!!!!!
My car broke down yesterday and thanks to a good samaritan stopping to help, and then taking me to MP AUTOS, my car is already going again. It needed a new water pump and complete timing belt kit. Mark and Peter and the team amazed me by fixing everything so quickly and I was very impressed with the price. Could not get better service anywhere, and they are kindest, most polite guys who I know we can all trust. There should be more of you around!!!!

I have two vehicles which up to two years ago had always gone back to the dealerships for all service work. I always knew that their fees were high but when it came to replace the timing chain their cost was more than twice what I was able to get it done for. This led me to investigate and find a reliable and trustworthy mechanic and MP Auto,s name came up a few times. Since last year they have looked after both of my cars and they have always provided honest appraisals of what was required to be done and have priced their service at a more reasonable level. They recommend if it is best to use genuine or after market parts depending on what needs to be done. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They take the time to get to know what you like done with your car - not just do it and give you a surprise when the bill is handed over. After their service this week I had no hesitation in recommending them to my brother in law who was needing some work on is car and had been quoted an expensive price for some work on his Honda.
