The food here is beyond compare, I am reluctant to review this place because I don't really want others to know how wonderful the croissants or scrolls are. But there I have said it, worth travelling to.

This is not really an eatery in the conventional sense, although you can sit and eat if you like. What they do, they do very well though. And that is sourdough. These guys were doing it long before it took off, and they are probably still the best. My favourites are the wholemeal sesame, and the Casalinga, which is a bit of a modern classic. They also do great sourdough breadsticks. Also - the vegetarian pies are outstanding, especially on a winter's day; curry or chilli, both with wholemeal pastry. Somehow healthy and delicious at the same time.

The bread at this bakery defies belief! It's simply incredible! I always find the service lacking - the staff are not very friendly and they never seem to smile. However, the bread is the best I've ever had so I keep going back.
