I feel very bad to read the commentary left here in this website. I completed my Diploma of Nursing in 2016 and had have a great experience in terms of teachers and students in the classes, as we were very passionate to chase our dream to be a EEN.

I agreed though, there were cases the location of the placements were not as convenient because HSA was not very popular at that time and had difficulty to arrange placement in well-sought after hospital/healthcare centre. However, I enjoyed all placements esp my final placement where I had to travel to Bendigo (from Eastern Melb).

After my graduation, I heard HSA was not doing so well and had received a lot of negative comments about its overall service. That's a shame. I hope you all have a good experience in elsewhere to continue pursuing your dream. Stay positive! :)

Terrible place to study some teachers help students to bully other students, actually they gang up on them. Only the nasty students survive there, its a mean and cruel society. Nurses Ratched in the making. Lack of compassion for students.

Fees are expensive compared to other places. Poor service. My brother became depressed, anxious and further more almost destroyed his career. He was studying the Enrolled nursing course although instead of getting any help he was bullied and they wasted his time and efforts. They would tell him to go to some classes and it was incorrect. Happened twice. The teachers don't care about their students. Only doing it for the money. I suggest go to ANMF or somewhere else to study your nursing. They'll just waste your time, energy and money.

Told that I had to drop a class due to clashing with clinical placement periods (there was only a one day clash, but I was told I had to choose between the dropping the unit, or missing out on placement. The clash was due to a public holiday pushing the unit forward and extra week)

This was done, though they are now charging me $50 for a "change of enrolment" fee, and due to delay was not able to put in any preferences for said placement.

I have now received an email saying that "due to the public holiday causing students to go into their placement periods, we have organised for a class to be run on the public holiday so that student will finish in time for placement"

This is after I have been removed from the unit, have an invoice for $50, unable to put in preferences, and can't even re enter the unit due to missing one class already, and having commitments for work on the day of the unit (commitments I wouldn't have agreed to if I still had the class to go to)

This place is a mess, many of the teachers are lacking in skill and ability to teach, there is misinformation in lectures and presentation slides are badly written.

0/10 would not recommend, go elsewhere if you want to study your Diploma in Nursing

When you pay somebody, you either expect goods or services in return. But this is not the case with Health Skills Australia (HSA), teacher doesn't always teach or provide you with necessary education service you have to receive in order to complete the course. You also want to ask them on what basis their website provide information as the duration of the course is something can be altered at any time even after you made the payment and after the course started.

I have contacted their manager regarding academic transcripts or Certificate, it's been more than more than a month since the course completed and almost a month since last correspondence but have received nothing until today.

Will update this review if there is progress.
