We had a meal here on a Tuesday night, and got the special which was a roast for $13. It was a bit slow to come out but was excellent value, and a huge plate of food for the price, and fairly decent quality. They also had a free trivia night on which we participated in.

Nice and convenient, within walking distance of all the shops in the area plenty of free off the street parking. Drinks are ok priced, a great onsite bottle shop and the meals are nice. Can be a little expensive here

The meals here are nice, they are a little better than your average pub meal and the child's play area is a great bonus. They do still offer onsite pokies which is a deterrence from a family venue in my opinion. Service was prompt and friendly

Over recent years I have seen them try to move more into the family market, the meals are okay boarding somewhere between a pub meal and something a little more fancy but with a fancy price tag. The kids area does mean parents can have a chat with other guests or just each other without the worry of a child disturbing another patron

The Newstead Hotel, offers great meals at affordable prices. Our meals were served quickly (even though it was a busy night). The staff have always been polite and helpful. i recommend them
