I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" - and at the rate we paid for our room at Oaks on Market, I was thoroughly impressed.

Two friends and myself booked a room on level 19. The room was a fantastic size, with a great view. Room service was available, however we only stayed one night so we didn't need it.

Check in took about 15 minutes total time, but the majority of that was lining up with everyone else also trying to check in between 2-2:30 PM. Slightly inconvenient but concierge/reception staff worked well to get everyone checked in as quickly as possible. Concierge were open 24/7 which was great.

Generally we couldn't fault anything about our stay at Oaks On Market - the only thing is, it may be tricky to find for people who are not familiar with the Melbourne CBD.

After leaving the hotel, I realised I had left my camera charger behind, and staff offered to return it to me via mail, a gesture which I greatly appreciate.

I would definitely consider staying here again if I needed accommodation within the Melbourne CBD area.

This place is relatively new. Nice modern rooms. Location is great, right in the CBD. Quite a busy area during the day but a quiet part of the city on weekends. Only a short walk to Spencer St or Flinders St Station and just across the river to Southbank. There is also quite a good little bar located at the front of the hotel.

These rooms are really good and we got a great deal at the time; however we were quite disappointed with the way we were dealt with upon checking in. I hope this was a one-off instance. Still possibly worth checking out.

After recently spending two night at this hotel i can highly reconmend a visit.
The rooms where very spacious and also catered for people who didnt want to spend a high amount of money on room service and what not.By having a cooktop and a microwave in your room you have the option of having a quite night in with no worry of of high room service bills.
Rooms where fitted with a tv,cd stereo and heating and cooling and a fridge.
Nice place to stay am thinking of staying again.

Self rated at 4 and a half stars, this hotel was quite nice. Studio apartments with a full kitchen, you could hide away in your room quite happily. Centrally located, although there isnt much in the way of entertainment in that end of town. Breakfast facilities left a little to be desired - hot food was more room temperature & a little disappointing.
