I visited the Geelong Gaol on a number of weekends to do a photography assignment. I particularly liked the fact that the building has not been restored or turned into something different causing it to lose it's historical significance. I find the top level a bit too scary due to a combination of height, stories from the past and imagination, but I have enjoyed exploring the rest of the building and grounds.

I went to a paranormal investigation night here and it was great, although it wasn't as evidence based as others I've participated in but I would love to do that again some time. It is a great place to explore and learn about.

The man in the office was lovely & let us all do our finger prints on the way out which the kids thought was great.
Could be made into something a bit more wow, but from what I understand the goal is operated & maintained by the Lions Club, and they obviously rely on donations to maintain the buildings etc...
Shame that the council doesn't help maintain such a historical building in Geelong.
Our 7 y/o wants to come back & do the ghost tour next time...I might give that one a miss though!!
