Awesome! I felt like I was transported back in time. A must see for those into historic villages. You must allow three hours as there's over a hundred buildings to walk through. We got turned away first time we came cos we only came two hours before close. Also ring before you come and book/make sure they can have u to save disappointment

We stopped here on our drive back from Adelaide to Melbourne. It was worth the stop and the cost was fairly good, though I wouldn't recommend taking a massive drive to come see it. It was good for a look though all you can do is walk in and out of about 90 buildings. They are set up inside to look like they did back in the day and there is wax sculptures of people inside. It is interesting but get a bit sick of it by the end. We looked around for around 2 hours which I think was enough, though you could easily spend a bit longer (but we had to continue on our drive)

Old Tailem Town is a marvelous spectacle for those who delight in travelling back in time. Probably one of the biggest "Pioneer" village settlement reconstruction sites in Australia with over 90 buildings to explore. It will be made even better with the advent of one of Adelaide's old "H" class trams to be housed there soon. It is a great place to rediscover the hardships and lack of personal comforts we see today, that our early settlers had to endure in those days. Well worth a visit to a well laid out establishment and well worth the reasonable price.

This place is really freaky. You walk into a building and the wax figures are literally staring at you! It was an ok place to visit, but it's definitely not something I would recommend to other people. It's a long drive from Adelaide, and we were the only people there. The people working there were pretty nice, but there was not really much to do other than walk in and out of buildings

A fantastic visit. The whole village is constructed of old buildings decorated in the pioneer fashion. Thousands of historical artifacts and very informative. We thought it would only take an hour or two to look through but we ended up spending the whole day.
