The staff here are very experienced and professional with many years in the business. They are friendly and ask how you'd like your hair cut. The cost is fairly expensive - over $100 for cut and colour streaks in my experience. I had my hair done here too for a formal occasion and it was fantastic - received many compliments.

The salon itself has no steps so is disability friendly. However, the parking is located beneath the salon. There is no elevator but rather a set of about 15 steps or a large drive-down ramp (very steep indeed). So unless you are lucky enough to score on-street parking (very rare in this main section of Blackwood) it is not really easily disability accessible.

I have been having my hair cut at Oliver Hair Design for 13 years now. The staff are always friendly and I'm always happy with the result as they listen to how I want my hair cut. My sons also get their hair cut there. Although there have been times when my younger son was not happy with the outcome (he's fussy), he keeps going back to them, even though he could go else where.

I had fairly long hair when I went to Oliver Hair Design in Blackwood. The staff are competent with many years experience and took time making sure I really wanted that much off! They provide customers with coffee or tea and magazines. There is parking nearby and overall I was very happy with the experience. They do cost a little more than other franchised hairdressers like 'just cuts' or similar ones, but I beleive the service is much better.
