I am not happy that i spent my money here-order was mixed up-i think we got another persons meal without realizing,it is not until we questioned each other at the table to see who's it was?not really good table service and all meals came out at different times.so everyone at our table ate at different times.the cheesy chip things were nothing but a grease trap.we did not eat them and told our waiter that we wont be paying for them.drinks were very expensive.

Great quality steaks that are very filling. They offer bread as an entre and this is delicious. It's a very American styled restaurant and the customer service is very friendly.

Outback Steakhouse is an American style Restaurant located in North Strathfield located near AMF Bowling just off George Street. We've dined here a few times and have always had an enjoyable experience, even when we dine with the kids. We usually call ahead and try to reserve a table in advanced but being only the four of us, we were seated within 15 minutes of arriving.

The waitress sat us down and handed us the menu's and returned with mini colouring books and pencils for the kids. This kept them busy whilst we ordered the " Bloomin Onion" $10.95 , basically a whole onion carved until it looks like it's slowered, and deep fried, served with spicy onion sauce, garlic loaf $4.95, the grilled salmon with veggies $26.95 and the ribeye with mash for $30.95. You need to order sauce for $2.95 extra as it doesn't come with sauce for the steak - mushroom is nice here! We ordered the kids some chookaburra chicken fingers which came with a drink and chios for $8.95 each and two cokes for $4.95 as they are bottomless ( free refills). The bloomin Onion was a higlight for the kids, they loved it! We enjoyed the food - salmon was grilled perfectly - not overcooked and steak seared nicely as well. Our waitress was prompt, friendly and food brought to the table after 20 minutes.

Overall a great experience and will return!

I kind of expect The Outback Steakhouse to be like McDonald's--you expect the same food/service/experience wherever you go. The US-style, grease-heavy food is--let's be honest--REALLY tasty. If you're after a burger the size of your face, or more ribs than you have in your own chest, you've come to the right place.

But... meh. The food is the same at North Strathfield as it is at the Outback's first Australian restaurant, located out in Parklea/Glenwood area, in Sydney's Hills District. Unfortunately the service is not.

On a quiet afternoon recently, I waited 20 minutes to have my order taken, had my food come out before my drink, and, after waiting for 30 minutes to get a waiter's attention to ask for one of their offered free refills and waiting another half an hour, had to go up to the bar and ask the bartender for one, there. I wish I could be surprised, but it's not the only time it's happened... I keep going back for the freaking delicious Cheese Chips, though (seriously. it's worth the infuriating wait for the cheese chips).

The thing is, I've been there on a busy night, and received fantastic service. It seems that their busiest periods will also be their best for service. So there you go.

It's set in the Bakehouse Quarter of North Strathfield, and it's such a pretty place. The restaurant itself doesn't offer much of a view, but it's nice to finish your meal and walk down the lovely cobbled street for a coffee in a quiet cafe.

So props for location, and the evening staff.
Kind of dissapointed that the ABUNDANT stuff in the quiet periods can't handle a table of 2, though.

I'm always disappointed by the serving sizes of the chicken, plus I'm not really into steak and the ones served here is no exception (rather tough..). However, eating here is always quite a nice experience. Ambience and service is good. Bloomin' Onion is yummy though so oily and full of deep-fried goodness that sharing it between four is enough for me. XD Last trip I went, I'd just joined their Outback Club online and got a voucher for a free Bloomin' Onion. :O Not sure if they're still running it but was good for something I would have bought anyway. :)

Ribs are also delicious.

To start with, this particular Outback Steakhouse does not take bookings for groups of under eight people. Instead if you call to book, you are marked as priority seating, which cuts wait time to roughly half the usual. When we went, we were told the hour wait would be cut down to twenty-five minutes as a result, and I'm fairly sure it took even less than that to be seated.

That being said, we were hungry, so we over-ordered. The portions are quite large, and the fact that they give you two sides with your steak is worth noting, because this accumulates to a hefty amount of food. The cheese chips are definitely worth trying, along with the Bloomin' Onion. Their steak was cooked excellently, and my ribeye was very tender, which was accompanied by a very flavoursome mash, though I would avoid the Caesar salad, as I felt that their dressing was a bit strong for me. And the flavouring they use for their iced teas is so amazing, I could drink litres of that stuff.

The service was quite good, in general, the wait wasn't too bad. We had to wait a bit longer than expected for a Coke, and oddly enough it took a good twenty minutes and four requests to get the bill. However, aside from this, the staff were very attentive and good with taking empty plates away and making sure we were well-catered for.

This place is definitely worth a try, I would recommend them.

Went to Outback Steakhouse North Strathfield for dinner. Great value! Large size serves. The staff are somewhat friendly and has onsite parking! Food is pretty good.

Been here a few times as it is a favourite.

The service is generally pretty good and the food is great! Had their salmon, pastas and steaks and they were all yummy.

The downside is sometimes you can be waiting up to an hour to get seated, despite having a booking.

On the odd occasion we have received some pretty awful service (waiting ages for food and then when it comes, it's not what we ordered etc). I've complained to management those times and they've always suitably rectified the issue/s for us.

OK they do have great steaks, no doubt about that. But the issue is their veges are awful and are their other side dishes. Why put so much effort into the steaks and let yourself down with cold frozen veges? Last night I ordered the Alfredo Prawn pasta and it was really awful, it was gluggy, hard and made me feel sick, so I couldnt finish it. I was disapointed. Im not a lover of their bread either and I dont know many who are. In saying this the service was brillant the young asian girl that had our table was lovely and very attentive. I would go back as I love their steak but I will not deviate from the menu again.

we were recommended here by friends as they said best place for steaks,i had a big steak served with there onion fries the vsteak was so tender and moist the chips were crispy the way i like,i noticed it was family friendly placeso great place to take the kids as thy are kept busy with coloring will go again!!!
