Typical Irish pub. A very friendly, busy pub with great service and great people. The food is great and beer is decent, prices are not over the top either.

We decided to try the newly opened Paddys pub (formerly the Sherlock) From the start I was impressed that they had a sign out the front making sure smokers are not not standing outside the front door smoking making customers run the gauntlet through the pack to get inside inside the pub. The inside of the pub is warm and inviting, kitted out in wood paneling and looking clean and neat.

We sat at a table and where promptly served by the waitress who (along with all the staff) was very courteous and friendly. We ordered steaks and bangers and mash and drinks and where served the drinks promptly. The meals where beautiful and fresh! All salads where lovely and fresh and the steaks where quality meat, cooked to perfection. My husband had the small serve of bangers and mash and found it to be a more than ample serve and delicious!

The price of the meals was about standard for pub grub. We will be back to try to roast on Sundays, and will be visiting this pub a lot more from now on. A very pleasant experience. I would recommend this pub to anyone.
