This is not food with style but good solid practical food and if you love pancakes it's a must, it's been at the rocks for over 30 years and has a good reputation. I always enjoy a visit pancakes it's sort of Nostalgic now.
I see that they have put ribs and steaks on to keep up with people's changing tastes, but it's ridiculous, what else do you expect when you go to a place called Pancakes. Anyway they have always had a steak but it used to be served on a buckwheat pancake with bernaise sauce but that has gone.
Service is good, expect it to be slightly different during peak periods, but they are open 24/7 so just pick a nice time and savour the vast range of delicious filled crêpes, gourmet pizzas, ribs, steaks and a large range of different pancakes, my favorite is a three stack with whipped butter and there homemade maple syrup.

Approximate cost: $35.00

Best breakfast place in Sydney, hands down!

The food here is simple and nothing overly extravagent, but the food is filling and the price is very reasonable.

As a Melbournian, one of the biggest issues I had last time I was in Sydney was the lack of breakfast places and good cafes. Melbourne has Degraves St and a host of other great cafe places. Sydney has a whole lotta restaurants but nothing really for someone who just wants a big brekky.

Pancakes on the Rocks became our breakfast place of choice when we were here. It's a far trek from where we stayed but we were never disappointed. I always had the Pancakes and Sausages, which is basically a big breakfast, with sausages, grilled tomatoes, fried egg and 2 fluffy, thick pancakes.
The pancakes would be a lot better if they were thinner though.

The service is good and we didn't have to wait for a table (no booking required), though at night it gets a lot busier. This is a great breakfast place and is also one of the few restaurants in Sydney that's opened 24 hours! (They have steak and ribs here too... so a great place for dinner!)

I just love this place - been going there as a treat for over 30 years. The food was excellent and arrived quickly once we ordered. only glitch is the lack of disable access - which forced us to go to the one at darling Harbour instead.

The queues in front of this place are always filled with Tourists, as the locals only come here at 2 in the morning, after a bender in the city or the rocks.

I mean, who pays over $15 for thick pancakes, with a few strawberries. As for the other meals on offer, who goes to a pancake house for chicken or steak? I've not going to A Steak House for Pancakes?

Do yourself a favor, unless it's two in the morning and your starving - don't get sucked into this over cramped, over priced, poor service, below average food and long waits.

They've got amazing service and make delicious pancakes. Their portions are very generous- almost too generous! The first time I ordered their pancakes I was unable to finish the two pancakes because they're so rich!

Moving from Brisbane, I loved pancake manor because it was open 24 hours. Pancakes on the rocks is a suitable replacement, open 24 hours as well and yummy pancakes!! The service is a little slow, but then again so was pancake manor in Brisbane, working with pancakes must be strenuous?

I love going to Pancakes on the Rocks, and I love that it's 24 hours! Although the service is terrible the desserts are worth it!

Yum yum yum, pancake heaven, from sweet to savory...but also have a wide variety of other food options...something for everyone. Great after a night out or Sunday brunch...one downfall,it's a little noisy and the a/c can get a little cold in some spots.

Approximate cost: $20

Absolutely delicious! I have fallen in love with Pancakes on the Rocks. Very affordable and great for a casual night out. I have tried many of their dishes, and one which stands out would be the Chicken and Mushroom crepes - yum.
