On a whim i stopped it at a "salon" in south townsville , i needed my hair done on short notice . well... i now won't be going anywhere else .. paraskevi is a student salon , but the teacher there belinda watched over the girls and made sure there job was perfect and was lovely and professional... and for a fraction of the price i'v paid in other salon's .... and only to find later the girl doing my hair was an apprentice and i'v still paid full price and no one even told me untill much later ( once i paid the money) these guys are upfrount .. let you know a student is doing your hair, but by letting you know , the teacher can be watching... much less chance of a stuff up, that gave a sense of professionalism, and dint have me so worried about a student doing it . I was offered refreshments and one of the girls even happily walked down to the shop to get me a bottle of coke after i'd said i should have gotten one before i went ( i dont drink tea or coffee) . professional girls with a real passion for what they do , making sure you walk out happy and loving your look . really impressed as i was aprehensive about going to a student salon , but i'm confident in being a regular customer with them now .I should add that it was explained to me that the girls/guys had to undergo a huge amount of practice and be confident before they are allowed to do anything on their customers.
