I visited this cafe over the weekend and I have to say I was rather disappointed. The staff were rude and the overall atmosphere was not pleasant. Unfortunately, not even the food was good. I bought a mars bar slice, which was one of the worst I have ever had. It didn't taste homemade and it was more like chocolate yogurt rather than a slice. I will not be coming back after this experience.

I decided to try out this bakery when visiting the Daylesford region and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The service was very rude and unwelcoming and they had no savoury food available even though it was still early in the afternoon. I ordered a dessert, which was very average and have had much better in the past. I will never be visiting this bakery again and encourage others to do the same.

Pastry King bakery has everything you need to feed your hunger. Ranging from pies, sausage rolls, sandwichs and everything sweet. The cakes and slices are very yummy. Friendly service

The tag line for this bakery is "making pastry for over 66 years". I would believe it. We had slices of poppy seed cake and chocolate cake and it was moist and yummy. There were also three different types of slices and some European style pastry. YUM.
It gets super busy though, so take it away and enjoy it elsewhere, as it gets a little stressful in the actual cafe.
